I have two Australian Shepherds that destroy EVERYTHING. They even chew each otherâs collars off and the only toy that stands up to their wrath is kongs. I have previously tried big âchew proofâ strong nylon beds (destroyed, green fluff everywhere) and another cot bed (chewed right through the middle because the edges did not tuck into the sides like this one).I LOVE THIS BED!! I can finally give my destructive dogs a cot to sleep on off the floor. Have had for a few months now and still not a scratch or chew mark! Iâm so happy I can finally give them something nice to make them more comfortable!I bought a Large bed for starters to test the âchew proof-nessâ, and both of my 40-45# Australian Shepherds lay on it together with just enough room, but not too crowded. I have this bed out in our âdog houseâ that is basically the porch attached to the house that leads outside so they can go in and out. We live in Minnesota and have had an especially cold winter this year. The porch we have is not heated but is insulated and keeps the dogs out of the elements, the cot is in there so I would say itâs withstood cold weather conditions. I actually got the plastic over the metal because the metal would get super cold obviously.Was very easy to put together and is very sturdy PVC and the great design where there is no edge of the fabrics top so there is no corner for the dog to start chewing at.I am buying more for inside too! Definitely recommend for unmerciful chewers!

Best dog bed yet. (6 Month Update)
This review is only a bit premature. I’ve only had the bed for 1 day. I will update after 6 months and 1 year. (I said 1 month but I honestly forgot)So far it’s the best dog bet yet. It was super easy to put together and the instructions were very clear.I have two miniature doxies, Casey and Bebo. Casey is 6 and has pretty bad arthritis in his hips from a fall he had as a puppy where he broke both legs at the growth plates. He hobbles and isn’t ever really comfortable without meds. I had taken to letting him sleep with me because sleeping on the floor made him stiff and it hurt to get up after laying for so long.As soon as I got the bed put together and showed them that it was theirs they jumped on (I helped Casey, that kid doesn’t jump) and laid down. They then stayed there until they wanted to go outside, and upon re-entering they laid right back down. When Casey stood up to go outside, he didn’t cry out like he normally does. Instead he got up and stepped off without pain.We will end up getting shorter legs or cutting these in half. They are about 6 inches long and Casey’s legs are only 4 inches. He can’t get up without help. Other than that, so far so good!UPDATE/// We put Casey down in June (he had a slipped disc and was paralyzed) and were given another puppy the same month. We now have Bebo and Bonnie. Both dogs love the bed and lay on it constantly. We did not cut the legs in half because I put a step in front of the bed that the dogs use.The fabric doesn’t sag at all. The dogs jump on the bed from far away and I swear they think it is a trampoline. We took the bed to my mom’s house and her rottweiler jumped on and claimed it. She ended up buying the same size for her dog and no sagging there either.We got the Cordura fabric and it truly is tough as nails. It is waterproof fabric so any liquid that gets on the bed doesn’t leak onto my floor before I can grab a towel. I usually wash it off in the shower and set it outside in the sun once a week. The dogs love laying on it when it is outside.We will never own another kind of bed.

Review UpdateMy previous review is below. They are the first bed our two dogs could not chew up quickly. After a year they are still in good shape and my husband and I are very impressed with the quality.So… when we got our 3rd dog we needed another dog bed. The order was received quickly. When we were putting the bed together it turned out that we were missing all 4 corner elbows to put the legs on the frame. I thought that this was going to be a real hassle, as are a lot of customer services are these days. I first called Amazon and told them that I didn’t want to return the item, I just wanted to get the missing parts. Amazon gave me the phone number to Kuranda. I called expecting to go through that automated phone service black hole, but was pleasantly surprised that a very helpful real live person answered the phone. From then on it was nothing short of a wonderful experience. Just by giving her my name and zip code they were able to pull up all my shipping information and which item I had ordered. I explained what we were missing, she knew immediately what it was and said it would be mailed out to me. We received the missing parts within about 3-4 days.I was so pleased with my experience with them that I called Kuranda back and left a message with the account manager letting him know how wonderful his people were to work with. I highly recommend this product and company. Way to go Kuranda, keep up the good work.Old Review.We were buying dog beds after dog beds. Our big 1 year old, 85 lbs dog was chewing up one dog bed after another. We live in a very cold climate and was trying to get something for our dogs that would get them warmth off the garage floor. Our smaller dog (45lbs) would leave the dog beds alone, but the new big boy would get bored and end up chewing up his bed and the other. We got 2 of these beds a couple of months ago and they are perfect. Gets the dogs up off the floor and our big fellow can’t get a hold of anything on this bed to rip apart. We are happy and the dogs are happy. Great purchase.

We bought this for our puppy’s crate as she was destroying blankets and beds in there. We felt bad just having her on the floor of the crate, so splurged on the Kuranda bed. Best purchase. She did try chewing the top of the post but couldn’t do much damage. it lasted through her chewing phase and she used it in her crate all the time (once all house trained we just left the door to her crate open all the time). It was vomited on multiple time (allergies) and was easy to clean and dried pretty quickly. It has been relegated to the basement area where it still see regular naps from the cat. It is nice and easy to vacuum the hair off and was one of our best dog related purchases. I will note that one of the screws went in odd and I couldn’t remove it to straighten it, so its’ always been a bit off on that one, didn’t affect use. Can’t recommend this bed enough.
