A Great Coat
After doing a lot of looking, I got this coat for our 58 pound pittie-mix. I measured the dog as recommended, and was surprised that she was a size XL. This is what I ordered, and the fit is good. The end of the coat hits right at the base of her tail. The canvas looks good, and the “army olive” color is actually closer to a light sage-gray, and I like it better than the color shows on my monitor. The little collar cape actually sticks straight up. I didn’t like this until I realized it keeps the leash from falling into her face, and now I think it’s a great idea. The hole the leash goes through on the cape is generous, and I don’t feel like I’m trying to thread a needle with an anxious dog on the end of it. The velcro straps attaching at the top is genius. Much easier than attaching at the belly. On the whole, the style comes across as early Star Wars, but I’m good with that. The elastic leg straps for the back work well, and don’t hinder movement or get in the way of “business.” I only use them when it’s very cold, and when not in use, they hang unobtrusively out of the way (mostly under the coat). I have not used the zipped hole for a harness, so have no comment on that part.The sherpa lining is very soft and warm, but it is the only criticism I have of the coat. Missy and I frequently go off-trail, and the fuzzy lining is a magnet for brush debris. I would liked to have had the option of flannel.Overall, this coat appears very well thought out. The recommended fit is good, it seems to keep her very warm, and I really like the look. I’ve only had it a week, so I can’t speak to its longevity yet.

Best Coat Design Yet
This is the best designed coat for a dog I have seen yet and I have tried several. Goes on in less than thirty seconds and is very adjustable. Fabric is a sturdy fabric similar to a canvas but more coarse. My dog is a male Lab mix with a deep chest similar to a pointer with a skinny waist. This makes it difficult for a conventional coat to fit. If large enough to fit the shoulder/chest area the waist hangs down too far and the dog pees on it. This coat solves this problem with the wrap around belt that allows coat to be custom fit around the chest and tightened up around the skinny waist part for a perfect fit. My dog wouldn’t tolerate the elastic leg bands in the rear but the coat stays on perfectly without them. Very warm and not restrictive. He can still run and jump and doesn’t seem to notice the coat at all. Reflective trim lights up when flashlight hits it. Two coats of 13% silicone waterproofing helped with water repellency but this coat is still only slightly water resistant. My dog is 60-65 lbs and I bought the XL size which was a bit too loose around the chest/ leg hole area. Rather than return it I machine washed it in a non agitator tumble type washing machine and dried it on a very low heat setting in the dryer(not recommended in the laundry directions). Turned out perfectly. Shrank about three inches in length from shoulder to tail and a couple of inches around the chest area. Pictures are from before washing and drying.

The best winter coat ever!
My dog, Joy, is nearly 4 years old, 96lbs and an infinite amount of energy. First coat she’s ever gotten that actually fits her very comfortably. Very good quality!

This is a nice sturdy, warm jacket. Ordered an XL for my 63 pound Goldendoodle and it fits her beautifully. It’s big enough that it’ll still fit when her hair grows back.

3x fits my 4yr old Great Dane perfectly. Good quality. Very adjustable. Excellent value.
