My pets love these
I bought 3 of these, for my 2 cats and 1 dog, and they love them. In the winter, my dog and one of my cats lay on them most of the day. They only warm up when they lay on them. They use them in the summer too, when the air conditioning is too cold for them.The cords are kind of a pain to hide and I kind of wish they had rechargeable batteries or something, but they are handy in that I never have to worry about them running out of batteries. The covers are washable and I think we have had them for 2 years and have had no issues at all. I am watching a neighbor’s dog today and he too is curled up on one. I would grab another one if they went on sale again. I like knowing they were made for animals too, and don’t worry about a human one getting too hot for them. And I like that they don’t heat up unless someone lays on one. Very happy with this purchase.

Warm and Toasty
So far I have warm and toasty kitties! I have another heated pet bed by K&H (Thermo Kitty Fashion Splash) and my cats all love it – they use that one at night. I was looking for this mat style heated bed to sit on my desk under a window where my cats all like to lay but it gets a little cool in the winter or on days when it’s not sunny. Also with for cats it’s hard to have enough “best seats” we chose the 14×28 size so two kitties could sit on it and I’m really glad I did not get the smaller one as it would have been way to skinny.The bed part itself is plenty cushy as there is a foam material of some sort inside around the heating pad and the outside is a microfiber sort of fabric. My cats all like it fine. It does have an off putting (to the cats) smell when you first open it, but it will go away in a day or so and be just fine.What I like about this compared to the other bed is that I feel safe leaving this unit plugged in all the time and it will cool off (though not completely) then warm up to temperature when the cats are using it. The Thermo Kitty bed we plug in and unplug each night – it’s soon to go on a lamp timer so I can’t forget to unplug it. I don’t feel safe with it being “hot” all the time and wish it also had the pressure sensor in it.I hope this product lasts a long time because they will certainly have to be replaced if they break! My four cats are all young the oldest is 4yrs and the youngest is 8mo. Two are cold nature short haired cats but one is a long haired cat and all love their bed!***UPDATE… I’ve had this product for 2.5 years and it’s still working and looking like when we first got it. I’ve washed it once in the machine and then just spot cleaned some stains. I’m glad this has worked out so well!

I liked this heated mat because the fabric is soft and durable. My dog likes to dig and she digs her mat and so far it still looks brand new. I’ve had it for a few weeks now.I think that the shape is a little odd. It’s very long and narrow, and my dog doesn’t always lay on it in the proper directions. So sometimes her only half her body is on the mat. Also, the mat doesn’t get very warm. My dog is only 5 lbs so her body weight isn’t enough to make the mat super warm. However, it seems warm enough for her as she prefers to sit on the heated mat rather than on her pillow. But she still prefers a warm lap to the mat.The heater does not fill the entire mat, but I don’t really see that as a problem. All in all, good mat, but wish it was a tad bit warmer.

Warm comfort for my senior kitty
I bought this for my senior kitty who has been partially paralyzed most of her 17 years. Lately sheâll seek out sunny spots in the house to lay in, and she even tries to lay on the vents in the floor where the heat comes through. She loves this pad and when I pick her up from it, she is nice and warm where her body was in contact with it. Iâm ordering a few more so I donât have to move it from one room to another. Because of her paralysis, she can occasionally wet the pad. I have found it easier to place her favorite blanket over the heating pad, instead of using the pad and cover it came with. Itâs easier for me to change the blanket, than to remove the cover and pad, wash them both, let them dry, then put them both back on. The heating pad itself is very easy to clean if she wets it, a damp cloth does the trick. If occasional accidents are not an issue with your fur baby, youâll be happy with the pad and cover this comes with. Iâm so happy that my sweet old girl can find some warmth and comfort!! Worth every penny!

Not very comfortable
I have previously ordered K&H heated houses for my cat and have been pleased; therefore, I didn’t hesitate to order the K&H heated pad for an extra space. This pad, however, is thin and very lumpy…seemingly not very comfortable.It does add the right amount of heat to help keep a pet warm, but it is only large enough for one adult cat. I have not cleaned it yet, but it seems simple enough to do so, thus I gave that area a 4 star, but it may prove to be as high as 5 or lower than 4.

I got this as a Christmas gift for my cat who had been sleeping on the radiator during winter. She loves it and has been sleeping on it ever since she got it. My 20 lbs cat just fits on it and the material is soft like other cat beds. The product arrived a couple of days earlier than expected as well. Overall, a happy customer and cat!

My geriatric cat has spinal arthritis. He absolutely LOVES this mat! He won’t sleep anywhere else. It’s also super-easy to spot-clean, and doesn’t heat up too much. Buying his younger companion a heated bed to curl up in, so she can have more comfort during the long Canadian winter.

I bought this for an older cat.We opened it up and put it on a chair that she sleeps on from time to time. As soon as she laid down on it, she stayed on it, and has spent a lot of time on it since. She seems to really like it. Other people mentioned a smell when first used but I didn’t notice that and neither did the cat. The only drawback is that it seems somewhat expensive for what it is.
