I love this bed
I cannot say enough about this bed. My Dane loves to dig in his bed, and the cover on this bed is amazing at preventing damage. He has been able to chew the corners of the cover over time, but he likes to move his bed around his room, so we are not able to zip tie the corners down as the manufacturer suggests. My other two pups are aggressive chewers, and we did zip tie the corners down in their kennels and they havenât been able to chew them.The bed is actually 3 pieces: the mattress, the mattress cover, and then the outer cover. The outer cover is the touch layer and it has a zipper on the bottom that is hidden under very strong Velcro. Both the outer cover and inner cover can be washed easily when soiled. The mattress stays very clean and dry because of the double cover.Another thing I love is that IF your dog is able to damage the outer cover in any way, you can simply go to the K9 website and order a replacement cover. There is no need to replace the mattress or inner mattress cover. Because my Dane chewed the corners of his outer cover over time, we were able to simply order him a new cover and switch it out. These beds are very well made and tough, while still being soft and comfortable.My dogs absolutely love the beds and I love them too. They are a bit pricey, but they are worth the investment if you have heavy chewers (if you know, you know).

Cushion, durability, washable, and so far, indestructible
So, my dog has the raised platform bed as well from K9 ballistics, and like that one, my dog has NOT chewed it up! This one is much easier to wash and is much cushier and my dog absolutely loves it. Excellent quality and durability

Super Expensive but not rip or chew resistant.
Considering the amount I paid for this, I was hoping it would last for more than 6 days. Literally 6 days and it was shredded.

Impressive product
This is the 4th dog I’ve raised. 1 lab and 3 golden retrievers. Our current dog is a golden and has been a handful to say the least. He is not destructive in the kennel but would not let his crate mat alone. Just constantly balled it up. I figured there was the potential of him just tearing the mat up. Found K9 Ballistics and was intrigued by the loops on the corners to tie down. Seemed like a quality product. I was hesitant to buy just due to the price. There are many other cheaper options without the corner ties. I decided the K9 Ballistic set up would likely last three times as long as the others so might be worth the price difference. Also much easier clean up due to the way it is designed.Product arrived on time. Setup was easy and very impressive quality. The way the mat fit in the kennel so well I don’t even think I needed the tie downs but used them to start with. I put the mat in the kennel and my dog ran in and laid down. Never has he done that before. It’s been about a month now. There has been no chewing or digging at the mat. Dog is happy to be in his kennel. Of course only time will tell how it holds up but from the quality materials I’m confident it will outlast other cheaper versions easily.

LOVE this crate pad!
Bought this for our 4-month old Cavachon who LOVES to chew. I was in the military for a career, and then a law enforcement officer for many years following so I am very familiar with the “ripstop” fabric (used in tactical pants). I have now had this in her kennel for over a month and she realized soon after having it that she COULD NOT chew or scratch through it. She simply gave up her attempt to destroy it and decided to use it as the wonderful mattress that it is. It is so easy to clean, not to mention that it fits exactly to website dimensions, and even though I have had it for just over a month I can, without hesitation, that it is extremely durable!. Yes, it is a bit “pricey”; but, as my old Pop used to say, “you buy cheap and you’ll usually get cheap”! After all, this is for your “fur baby” who. as your human children, should get the best quality that you can provide – if your pinch pennies and skimp on their needs then perhaps you shouldn’t have them!!!

Finally!
I have a 10 month old Rottweiler. He has completely destroyed 3 beds. This is the first bed that is tougher than he is. The design of the K9 ballistic bed is genius. First, the cover zips beneath the bed and is covered by a Velcro secured cover. My dog would have to completely turn the bed over to get to it. But wait, K9 thought of that.Something as simple as 4 small zip ties can be used to secure the bed to the dog create to prevent the dog from lifting the bed. That is so simple but no of the other beds had designed loops to solve the problem.The K9 Ballistic bed is a little more expensive, but do yourself a favor. Spend the money first and you wonât have to keep replacing inferior beds. You know: Donât start none, wonât be none.

K9 Ballistic is the first bed to survive with Cuba for over a week. As always, before sleeping, Cuba scratches his bed full of enthusiasm. At first, we panicked as we were sure the bed would be destroyed at the first little hole in a few minutes. But no, nothing happened, and to this day, he can rest peacefully on his orthopedic bed.
