Helps keep my senior dog cool….
I already have 3 Hurtta jackets for my dog and love the brand, so wanted to give the cooling wrap a try. The spring/summer heat here in Atlanta has become challenging for my dog as he ages (he’s now 15). My goal was to be able to take him out for short (10 min) bio breaks in the afternoon when it’s hottest (85 today!) and have him be relatively comfortable (and safe) vs panting right away and getting quickly fatigued. Mission accomplished! I had my doubts going in, but this seems to work well. Soaking it, wringing it out, and putting it on adds more prep time for walks, but it’s worth it.I contacted Hurtta directly via their website to get clarity on how to put it on, and how to use the clasp. They forwarded a link to a really helpful YouTube video that demonstrates exactly that. It’s actually quite easy after you do it once or twice. I suggest checking out Hurtta’s website for more info on this product, and to read their blog titled ‘Keeping It Cool In the Summer.’ I’m happy with my purchase!

It seems to do what it is designed to do.
I purchased it for my rotty whom I compete in obedience trials. We live in Phoenix (hot) and she doesn’t perform well in the heat. When I put it on her she seemed confused about what she should do and I think it will take some getting used to before it does not interfere with her training.

Unique and wonderful design!
I live in South Florida and walking my Golden at any time of the day is like walking her in an oven. I have another cooling vest for her but it kept sliding to the side and moving in awkward ways; when I saw this design I thought it genius! It wraps around your dog’s body so well! I’m in love! The pink color is beautiful and I’ve used Harnesses over it without a problem. I’ve noticed a big change in how fast my dog recovers from a hot walk and now she is able to go longer with this on. When we stop for a drink anything she leaves behind in her collapsible bowl, I just pour over the vest to keep it wet and cooling. Although some people complain about the wrap design, I feel this is the best part! It takes some getting used to, but once you got the hang of it, it’s super simple to get on.

Useless
I live in N CAâ¦low humidity. Despite this, this cooling vest does nothing. Itâs also VERY difficult to put on. Your dog has to stand perfectly still after to position her front legs in the openings. Then, you have to thread the strap through a hole and a loop. Lastly, the fastener is difficult to manipulate. Pretty much hate this thing.

This was an odd thing for my dogs to try. But anyone with. GSD knows that they have ways of telling you what they want and they want this.I have a male that is 100lb and he is super high energy and just runs hotter. My female is about 60lbs and just likes to lay by a window in this.. until she sees a squirrel 😉

She didn’t like it at first, and she didn’t like getting water poured on her but she was obviously cooler and it was so much easier for her to get comfortable in the warm weather. When we took it off she began panting again so seems to do the trick!

Wir habe dies für unseren Shi Tzu gekauft. Empfohlene GröÃe passt und haben sie nun auch schon 2x ausprobiert. Skeptisch am Anfang aber es funktioniert wirklich gut. Trotz der aktuellen Hitze hechelt er viel weniger. Das Fell ist auch nur Feucht und nicht nass. Geht auch sehr gut mit einem kleinen Geschirr.

Ho preso questo gilet per uno uso diverso da quello a cui è preposto. Il mio cane è stato operato e avevo bisogno di qualcosa che coprisse la ferita sulla spalla per non far togliere i punti da poter indossare senza troppa difficoltà dato che è anziano. Il gilet era un pó largo e non proprio idoneo all’utilizzo da me pensato. Ho riscontrato comunque la qualità della marca che già conosco e l’ottima fattura del prodotto. Lo terrò in considerazione per la prossima estate
