    Exceptional Dry Cat Food!!
I have a male cat that is 12 years old. He has been having asthma attacks most of his life. At first I tried changing his food, and his cat litter – with no good results. I tried almost every dry & can food in the open market but he continued to have asthma attacks. I always tried to buy the best can & dry food out there. Grain free, limited ingredients, raw, home cooked, etc. I finally put my cat on steroid injections 3 times a year. It was the only thing that stopped his attacks for a short period of time. But then after about 3-4 months they would come back again. I Instinct Grain Free Rabbit, Instinct Ultimate Protein, Blue Wilderness, Wellness, Purina, Merrick, etc. Nothing worked and he kept having asthma attacks with all of these foods, Whether they were dry, wet, raw, homecooked, nothing made any difference. Until one day when I took him to the vet and my weighed 18 pounds after eating Instinct Ultimate Protein for almost a year or so. I thought it was really good for him. So I started looking for a weight loss food and came across Hills Science Diet Perfect Weight – Weight Management dry cat food. Both of my cats have been eating this food since February of 2020. Both of my cats a losing weight and my 12 year old male cat has not had even one asthma attack since eating this food. I noticed that a lot of the manufacturers of dry cat food, put carrots, apples, tomatoes, Parsley, Kelp, Blueberries, Cranberries, Barley Grass, Yucca Schidigera Extract, etc. You have to really be careful because I think cats – just like some people have allergies to certain foods. All I know is that my cat has not had another asthma attack since he has been eating Hills Science Diet Perfect Weight dry food. I will continue feeding him this food. Both my cats love this food and drink plenty of water daily. I have a flowing fountain and they drink water all the time. Both my cats are males and have not had any urinary problems eating this food twice a day. There fur feels likes rabbit fur. Every time I take cats to the vet they always remark about how soft my cats coats are. My cats have a lot of energy and look really healthy and are starting to lose weight. I’m extremely happy with this food and will continue to buy it.

All 3 Kitties Love the Flavor AND It Resolved Digestive Issues
I have three middle-aged cats. One will be 12 next month and the other two will be 13 later this summer. The reason I switched to this brand is that one of my cats developed a food sensitivity resulting in bloody diarrhea. I tried other sensitive stomach and grain free types of food, but they did not resolve the problem. After much reading and research, I decided to give this food a try, and have been very happy with it. All three cats like the flavor. They transitioned to this food without a problem. Also, I believe this food is more nutritious than the Purina One dry food I was feeding before because all three cats gained weight on this food. I had to cut their portions back from about 1/3 cup to 1/4 cup of dry along with their canned pate type wet food per day (5.5 oz can divided 3 ways). In the many reviews I read while researching this food, I saw a statement that really hit home with me. I am paraphrasing, but it was something like this “You either spend money now on quality food or later on vet bills.” My middle-aged kitties all still look and act young and vital. They are doing fabulous on this food. I am hoping it will extend their good health and prevent future suffering from unnecessary illness later in their life.UPDATE 11-26-2022. I still like and purchase this cat food. Two of my cats passed this year at 16 yrs 4 months and 17 years from CKD, but my vet assured me it was typical in very senior indoor cats and not related to this food. In fact, they like this food so much, I was unable to transition them to the hills, special kidney diet. One of the three cats is now 17 yrs 4 months and doing great still eating this food along with her wet pate kibble. I do moisten the kibble to make it easier for her to chew. She has a little arthritis in a shoulder from an old injury, but is still active and doing great.

    My toothless kitty loves it
Our cat was having serious dental problems, so I got this food in the hopes that she could get her nutrition, satisfy her urge to chew, and have something available for her to eat during the day. This food has checked off all three boxes. The kibbles are small enough that she can manage really well with it. She had been on IAMS Healthy Adult and she loved the flavor of it, but was having trouble chewing the large kibbles and would end up throwing it up. We tried adding a little water, but she didn’t like that and would not eat it. So I started a hunt for small enough kibble that she could manage and she did great with this one. Since all this, our little kitty has had to have her teeth removed because her teeth became brittle and broke off, and started to irritate and cause jaw damage. All that aside, our kitty still does ok with eating this food. She seems to love the flavor and can gum it/swallow the kibbles and seems satisfied. We supplement it with wet food, but I think the dry food is important to satisfy her need to chew and I like having food out during the day for her to eat since we’re trying to get some wait gain. So far so good!

Cat loves it–a little too much
My cat had gotten really obese, so another cat person recommended feeding him wet food (more water content/fewer calories for the amount of food he needs to feel satisfied). It has worked great, but I wanted to wean him onto a senior food (he’s 16). Science Diet seems to be the only brand with a food for seriously senior cats, and the canned version is way too expensive for me, so I’m trying to give him portioned amounts of this dry food. He loves it, better than any other dry food I’ve given him. He will finish it during the night and while I’m sleeping he’ll literally claw & bite me in the face until I get up and give him more. So I’ll have to be vigilant to keep his weight down.
