    One Year Review
I’m constantly wearing this jacket. I LOVE this jacket, but now that I’ve had it for a year, I thought I’d give this jacket a true review. I bought two for Christmas 2023, one for my husband and one for me. He doesn’t wear his a often as me, but he still depends on his quite often through the winter. I have circulation issues, so I’m constantly getting cold and my fingers are going numb, even inside during the summer. Because of this, I use this jacket all year long.Pros: I absolutely love the three heating options and the placement of the heating elements. I can do the lower heat indoors and the higher heat when I’m actually outside in the cold. The jacket heats up really quick, almost within seconds. When you put your hand in your pockets, your hands are right next to the heating elements. The jacket itself fits well and looks good, which is difficult to come by for women’s cut. The waterproofness of the jacket has been useful more than once, and I like the little extension on the hood to provide for more rain protection. The massive amount of pockets everywhere has also been really useful. The one in the back may not seem very useful at all, but it provides good ventilation if I want to wear it as a spring/fall jacket, but can also carry notebooks or larger flatter objects. The sleeve pockets have been useful while going through airports when you have to keep things on hand and very quickly accessible.I have had a different Antarctica jackets in the past, and this one is a better version. I had the puffy one in the past, and it does not have enough structure to hold the heavy battery up. This jacket holds the battery up higher and has enough structure to hold it. For women, it sits right above the hip, and below the girls, so it’s comfortable enough. The battery is flat too, so it sits well. The puffy version couldn’t hold it up, so it sagged below the jacket. I also love the fact that I can use this battery to charge other things too, which comes in use during the summer when I’m not using the heat much (except indoors 😅).Cons: in order to charge other things, I have to constantly carry a usb-c cable with me. I chose a short one I can keep in the battery pocket or try to have one in my purse, but I’ve forgotten an extra cable more than once. Remembering to charge the battery can be a hassle, but I tend to take it out and charge it at work. I used to have an extra battery so I always had at least one charged, but I gave it and my old heated puffer jacket to my sister, so i just have to be more diligent about remembering to charge it.I think the company did not think about all of the changes they would need to make between the men and women’s version. On both versions, there are velcro patches on each arm, so you can put patches on (these were developed from motorcycle jacket styles), but the patches are the same size on the women’s as on the men’s. Eventually, the sleeve right below the jacket on mine are wearing away and being rubbed. It took me a while, but I realized this is where the bottom corner of the velcro rubs when I bend my arms. My husbands doesn’t have that problem because they are proportioned for men’s arms, but not for women. I wish they had made the patches smaller in the women’s version, but it did take me a while year to even notice this. The patches themselves also tend to pick up lint, but it doesn’t end up bothering me at all. I would prefer a jacket that doesn’t have the patches, but I love the jacket too much to care. There was one issue when I first got the jacket. My husband’s jacket was delivered without the battery, but we could clearly see that the box had been opened and messed with. It took a bit to go through Amazon to finally reach the company’s customer service, but the company sent out a brand new jacket as quickly as they could to resolve the issue. My only question is, was that jacket a previous return that somebody had taken the battery out of and returned it without the battery, or was the battery stolen in transit? I can’t be sure, but I hope it wasn’t the first option, because then it would mean the company would need to do a bit more due diligence on returns. I was very glad that they fixed the issue without argument though.Things I wish the company would change: not include the velcro patches at all. Other than that, I’m not sure I have anything specific.Overall, this jacket has held up quite well. The amount of time of heat you get on each setting is true to the advertisement. On the hottest you get about five hours, and on the least hot about 10 hours. If you end up being outside during the winter, you can run out of battery on the really hot setting if you’re outside for too long or have been outside all day. The battery will take several hours to charge back to full, but I’m not outside for that long that often, or I just acknowledge the fact that I was able to stay warmer for longer than I would have without this jacket. For the most part, this jacket is really great. Sure, I would probably like a larger battery, but then the battery itself would be larger and would be awkward in the jacket. If you are on the fence about buying a heated jacket, I would say take this review and go ahead and just buy it. I have been very happy about my purchase and have many times found myself asking why I didn’t purchase something like this sooner. 4.8/5 Stars.

Great coat for all cold weather types
I like the lightweight functionality of this coat. I love the color and the feel of the fabric. There are more pockets than I know what to do with, but the one on the upper arm is perfect for a cell phone. The battery is a bit heavy, but you don’t notice it after a while. You necessarily feel the heat coming off the coat, but it definitely warms you up especially when using the hood.

    Nice and warm!
I hate wearing bulky jackets in the winter so when I discovered heated jackets I wanted one! I ordered a size XL, I wear size 14-16 and XL shirts usually, and it fits fine. The battery lasts through several wears, I just about always use it on the hottest setting. I charge it if I notice it is below 25%. There is a digital readout on the battery which is helpful. I haven’t used the battery yet to charge a small device. One thing I like: the front pockets are roomy and well placed, with a fuzzy lining so they are great for warming hands. One thing I dislike: the battery in its inner pocket is right behind the left pocket, so you really feel it when you have your hands in your pockets. I wish the battery was either just above the pocket or further back towards the side seam so that it didn’t feel weird in the pocket. (The weight on one side of the coat hasn’t bothered me.) Also the power input to the battery isn’t a standard USB or something, it’s a round power input, so you can’t just use any battery pack with it. I had thought I would be able to use one of my phone sized battery packs as a backup but I can’t do that. The hood is big and stays up surprisingly well. This jacket is great for snow blowing and shoveling when it’s cold and windy (upstate NY for climate reference), and after working for a bit when you start to feel hot (if you shovel a lot you know what I mean!) you can turn it off to cool off a bit.Overall, a good jacket and the warmth is really nice.

    Most amazing jacket ever!!
I love this jacket! I have recommended it to a friend and she bought one also and loves it! I was able to use it on our yearly trip to the mountains and it came in handy and I was warm and comfy the whole time I had it on, especially on the day that it snowed!!

    Battery won’t charge.
I ordered this for a early christmas gift and the battery won’t charge. I would like to speak to a customer service representative.

    Works great
I bought this prior to Christmas as a gift. I waited to write a review until it had been used several times. The battery was almost fully charged so we were all able to try it on and feel the warmth. The battery last a lot longer than the battery in my vest. The person who received it was very pleased with the gift.

Nice coat, but the battery is horrible
The coat is of great quality and it gets really toasty. However I recommend multiple battery packs as it seems to take well over 24 hours to fully charge this battery. I drained the battery completely before charging the first time and it took awhile to charge, but not 24 hours. Any subsequent charges however have taken about 36 hours to fully charge. I have tried multiple plugs and charging cables but it still takes forever to charge. I’ve ordered some other batteries to see if it’s just this particular battery or if it’s the type of battery. Either way at least I will have multiple batteries to have charged and ready to go.
