Well, it did what it was supposed to do
Tohbi, being a 15 year old Lab mix, just had CCL surgery on March 8th. I don’t know what I would have done without this miracle piece of ingenuity. There is no way Tohbi would have been able to get around the yard, to do his business, without this and without my having to strain my back. It was still somewhat awkward and took some getting used to. I’m tall, so if the straps had been a tad longer, it may have been easier on me, but it did the job of helping Tohbi with ambulation, until he was able to manage on his own. This may actually deserve 5 stars. It is possible that I purchased the wrong size, which may have accounted for some of the difficulty that I experienced. The thing to know is, if your dog is not going to walk on his own after surgery, this is an indispensable piece of equipment.

This is made very nicely. Ultimately, my dog couldnât step into it. Probably better for a dog that has some kind of limited injury. Not great for dogs with knee injury because they have to bend the knee to step into it.

It works. My lab has severe arthritis and I need the harness for his hind legs. I shouldâve sized down. I shouldâve followed the size requirement instead of going by weight. Heâs about 75 lbs but his hips got really skinny. Anyway, even though itâs big on him, we made it work. Itâs so easy to guide him along on our short walks. He can walk confidently too. The only thing, I have a hard time is putting it on him. The handles keeps getting in the way. It takes two people to get it on him. I canât put it on while heâs sitting down. So, we have to get him up first with his harness and the belly harness, while I struggle to put it on him. But once it on, itâs easier on my back and his hind legs.
