Easy to wash the cover! Very important for me to be able to remove & wash cover with small dogs. I only ordered two for now. To keep clean and limit “doggie smell,” it was easy to remove cover, put a plastic garbage over interior cushion to prevent accidents going into cushion, and replacing top cover. Thumbs up on these doggie beds. I also foster dogs & cats so the ease to remove and wash cover is very important.

I’ve had this dog bed for about five months. It replaces the same one my dog used for six years.PROS:Easiest dog bed I’ve ever had to remove and replace the cover for washing.Cover machine washes (cold) and dries (medium low) nicely, and has held up over multiple washings.Replacement covers are available through the FurHaven website.Zipper still works.Lightweight.This is my dog’s go-to dog bed. She loves the bolster to snuggle up to.CONS:My 70-pound Lab likes to drape herself over the rail on the front of the bed, which has resulted in some deformity of that spot. It doesn’t bother her at all! The back and sides are still in good shape.The white fluffy sherpa fabric in the center mats down and becomes a little stained over time.Just in case of a leak, I place a waterproof puppy training mat underneath the cover because the foam is not machine washable.

I had to throw away his old bed because it was way past it’s shelf life, shabby, he puked in it & there was no way it would survive a wash cycle.Herries is picky about his “house” and has special requirements. He likes a border small border around the side to make it cozy. The lining is soft & cozy. This bed was a grand slam! It’s sturdy, survives heavy nesting & he took to it the minute it was out of the box.He likes it so much that he won’t surrender his space for the alpha dog, a Chihuahua.It’s well constructed & is everything he could want in a bed!

I expected nicer for the price
The size, shape, and tall sides are exactly what I wanted for my long and skinny 14lb kitty who prefers to lounge propoed up and stretched out like a reclining Venus, rarely sleeps curled up like a normal cat lol. The construction and fabric aren’t the quality I was hoping for though. The “plush” inner fabric is thin and shiny- no biscuits are being made here! The cover overall doesn’t fit snugly so it looks a little sloppy. There is a zipper and the foam sides can be removed from the cover but the bottom 1″ egg-crate style foam cannot. I haven’t tried to wash it. We use this bed on top of our bed; if it was on a hard floor with a heavier pet they would feel the floor through it.

Perfect! Warm, cozy, washable, waterproof!
My dogs love this bed. The Sherpa is cozy warm. The high edges act like a pillow for my dogs to rest their head on. The round shape snugs their bodies as they curl up in a ball. Best of all, I discovered it is washable!! one of my new foster dogs decided to pee on the dog bed. I was devastated thinking I had to throw it out. I forgot that it had a removal cover that had waterproof material underneath. I easily unzipped the cover (which includes the pillow top, then hand washed it with a sanitizing carpet shampoo and then threw it in the wash. Good as new. It was a little bit of a challenge getting it back on, and I should have reshaped it and stretched a little when I took out of the wash and laid flat to dry. I wouldnât put this in the dryer. But was still able to put the cover back on the pet bed. After a couple days of the dogs laying in it the cover seemed to fit better and was good as new. My pups were so happy rubbing their heads against the freshly cleaned bed. At the time I only had one, so they would take turns. Iâve since purchased two more. The two I purchased, were âusedâ in Like New condition. I took a chance, but they really are like new, and it allowed me to purchase another one. So now I will have two for upstairs and two for down stairs. These are great, because unlike their donut beds, these donât take up a lot of space, and Iâm able to fit two in my tiny bathroom (they follow me everywhere). I purchased the small, and it fits perfect for my 11lb Morkie, and my 6lb chi mix has room to spare. Pics are of the chihuahua mix (now to purchase a DNA test to figure out the mix part). Donât hesitate to purchase this bed, new or used.

Right shape & materials, but zippered parts are mixed up and donât really fit right. This will not survive multiple removal & laundering, poorly assembled or designed. Good materials & overall shape, but just shoddy construction.

Different Manufacturer
Ordered this bed two years ago. Went to re-order the exact same item from my Order History. Quality is significantly less than what it was. The item came shoved in a brown corrugated box, literally shoved in, which I believe “crumpled” the styrofoam bedding inside. Size was definitely not accurate, as I still have the original bed from two years ago, and this one fit “inside” it, so this was not the same sized as the original order. I think they have different manufacturers. I wouldn’t recommend this.

First off before I begin my review it’s important to note …. There are 18 color variations, two cushioning options and six different sizes on the Amazon product listing for this dog bed. It’s important when you read the reviews that you are reading a review for the product combination you are thinking of buying.My review is for the Medium Sized bed with the Orthopedic Base.I wanted to find an oval cuddler bed with firm sides (bolster) for our 15 lbs cockapoo.Before buying this Furhaven bed I bought several others including one from Amazon Basics. Most of the round beds I purchased were poorly made and not very supportive. The Amazon basics bed I bought was actually pretty good but I needed something a little bigger with a little more support.Our cockapoo loves this Furhaven bed. The orthopedic foam is soft but Firm. The Side walls (bolster) is supportive and the quality of the whole bed is very good. The cushions are removable so the bed can be washed and the sherpa fleece is very durable.At 48.99 I was a bit hesitant to buy this bed but after using it for awhile now I’m glad I did … it’s totally worth it.My advice would be to purchase the Orthopedic Base if you can afford it and the proper size for your dog.If you have a smaller dog breed (under12lbs) and don’t want to spend $50 on a bed I would recommend the Amazonbasics Round Bolster Dog Bed which is only $21.99. (ASIN : B07233P1W2). Our dog likes that bed also but prefers the extra room and orthopedic foam with the medium sized Furhaven bed.

I bought this for my 15 year old 9 lb chihuahua, it fit him precisely when he curls up but no room for anything else. It also is not very thickly padded on the bottom. My 3.5 chihuahua puppy uses it now. I havenât tried to clean it yet.

We bought the medium size for our large fat cat and she seems to like it just fine. The foams are zippered in so they can be removed for washing but we havenât done that yet. Seems to be well made.

I liked the height of the sides and overall look of bed. A removable cover would be preferable. Most disappointed with sides. They have too much give and therefore do not support our dog as well as previous bed when she lays against the sides, even thought she is small and lightweight.
