Both Working Farm Dogs Doing Well
A friend whose opinion I greatly respect recommended these to me. I decided to try them. At the time my border collie/cattle dog mix was taking the nationally advertised brand of joint health. She was just beginning to have trouble jumping onto the bed and into cars. I have noticed a real improvement in her ability to move and jump. She regained her ability to jump up on the bed even as she is aging (she is nine years old this month). I do have steps for her to use, and am trying to encourage her to begin to use them. She still prefers to jump up by herself. When she is sleepy or very tired from exercise she will let me lift her up. I try to minimize her jumping to try to preserve her hip joints but she has always been an avid jumper. I really do see a difference of improvement as compared with the previous supplement I was using. The vet recommended I start the three year old livestock guardian dog on a joint health supplement as it is protective. She never had any movement problems at age three and I’m Interested to see how she does as she ages. Her breed unfortunately only lives ten years. She is approaching middle age now at five years of age and still runs and guards like a puppy. She is an Akbash LGD from Turkey. My only challenge is the border collie will not eat them. Every day I crush one in a mortar and pestle and crumble tiny pieces onto her raw food. Then I hide it under some salmon oil. That is the only way she will eat it. The larger dog I just toss it on top of her breakfast and she eats it – she will eat anything! I have seen positive results and plan to contine the supplement throughout their lives. My last border collie lived until 16 and I am hoping to keep this one healthy at least that long. Pain free movement is a major help in assisting them through older years. Unfortunately too soon to tell if they work or not but the fact that dog likes the taste is a good start.

Great product
Noticed improvement in my schnauzer after about a week. She had been stiff to point of limping in late evening- now all signs gone. She also likes them which, according to my veterinarian is unusual. She told me most small dogs don’t like glucosamine treats.

Love it
For this one, I went with Fera Pet Organics. My girl is a Doberman, so she has the same physical concerns, and some others, as her breed. That’s what makes this formula the right choice. She has recently had a ACL surgery, which is very stressful on her joints. This formula has helped her.

I’ve tried many joint supplements for my 10 year old beagle who was struggling to even make it up steps. He was born with knee issues and tumbled from our bed and hurt his back a few years ago. It took about a month to really see and notice he was moving better and a couple months to see him bunny hopping up the stairs with no hesitation. Taste-I have to take a star off because I have to hide them in his food. That said, I’ve had others that he’d refuse his entire bowl of food once they were crumbled in it. He’s a beagle and will eat just about anything but there’s something that beagle nose detects that he just doesn’t like. Our pitty won’t take them at all but she’s finicky. Overall, crumbled in food and remarkable results. I was getting to the point where I thought I was going to have to carry him up and down the stairs but I think as long as he continues with these, he’ll be motoring under his own steam for awhile yet! Price? A lot cheaper than any of the pain relievers I got from his vet that did little but mask the pain, so I’ll call them a bargain. And unlike many, once you reach maintenance dosage-they last forever!

My dog will eat almost anything (including pine cones but he won’t eat these. I have to break them up to disguise them. I haven’t noticed much of a difference in his jounts to be honest. I edited my review to commend the customer service of this company, who contacted me to make it right. I had already ground the tablets down in a chopper to a fine powder to make it easier to disguise in my dog’s food. Too soon to tell if there is any improvement in his joints

I normally love Fera products, but unfortunately this did nothing for our old girl. She’s 11 yrs old and having a hard time getting up from lying down, normal hind leg weakness with age. We went through two full bottles and no sign of improvement. Switched to another brand and within a week she was back to jumping on the couch and playing with our younger dogs. So it just didn’t do the trick for her.
