X-Small is a good size for Chinese Crested dog, perfect if your dog tends to slip
Have you ever had a dog who licked their feet as a self-soothing behavior? Well, we do. This year, she licked and licked until all the hair on her feet was gone, then licked some more. You’d think a good dog mom would notice this behavior, and stop her from licking. Yeah, good luck with that. Once the paws were irritated, the licking went from anxiety-based to itchy-based, so it was happening just about every second that she was unsupervised.We got these as an alternative to using an e-collar cone. We figured it might allow her feet to heal. Well, they weren’t great for that purpose, as they dried out the irritated skin, perhaps by being absorbent. So, don’t get these to use for pawticures.They were, however, good for blocking access to the feet while she was unsupervised, without the added discomfort or risks of a cone of shame.The velcro straps irritated her ankles, but that’s probably because there was no hair there. The socks stay on even without the velcro, but not very well.One unexpected upside to these was how well they increased her traction. Though not why I ordered them, it did allow her to jump/stop on a slick surface much better than bare paws alone. I think these would be perfect if your dog tends to slip on slick floors.One word of advice: wash often, and wash inside out.

Easy to put on, and stay on pretty well too!
I got these for my 7lb chihuahua, not for stability on hardwood floors but actually for going out when it’s super cold. They are not water resistant or anything, but when it’s cold we don’t stay out long, so it’s really just to reduce contact between her feet and the cold ground as much as possible. They are very lightweight and I found them pretty easy to put on: I was able to just roll them down and then up onto her foot pretty easily. My dog’s feet are very tiny, so they were still a little roomy, but they were small enough that she could actually walk in them and they didn’t fall off (which was amazing).I also really like how these are designed with the velcro that snaps on and then can be secured around the leg; I think that really helps these to stay on, especially if your dog tries to just flap their paws until their socks come off. My dog was able to get the front ones off by repeatedly dragging her feet across the ground until they came off, but she left the back ones on, and they really helped her a LOT with being able to have a little bit more time to go out and do her business before her feet got too cold when the temperature was in single digits. Since she’s gotten more used to them, she’s getting better about leaving the front ones on too. I like using these so much more than a big bulky bootie; they’re light enough that my dog will actually walk with them on instead of just standing there, or waddling around looking confused. I also really like that they are extra long, because they cover up some of her spindle legs too; anything that helps keep her just a tiny bit warmer in places that her coat doesn’t cover is great to me.These are the best solution I’ve found so far to help my dog in the winter, and I’m really happy to have found them; it’s also great that they include two extra in the package, since I’m sure at least one is bound to get lost. They are also very easy to wash (I just put them in a garment bag and put them in the washing machine with a load of towels) which is always a plus as well!

They do not fit well
I was really hoping that these cute little pink doggie socks were going to work for my little pup, but unfortunately, they did not. I followed the size chart and ordered an XS and they are still pretty big and I don’t like having to put on a velcro strap every time she needs to wear them. I am not a fan of how long the socks are and I really do not like that the there is a rubber paw on the top and bottom. The socks shift around and sometimes the rubber paw print would be in the wrong area and she did not want to walk in them at all.

Not only are these adorable and look so cute on my dog but they are anti-slip, great for hardwood floors. I ordered these pretty pink socks/booties for the cold weather, but when summer and the hot days arrive she can wear them to protect her precious little paws from being scorched by the sun. Functionally meets cute, I recommend.
