Indoor traction for my 85-lb service dog
My 85-lb labradoodle is a service dog and goes to work with me every day. However, he was slipping so badly on the linoleum floors that it was aggravating his knee ligament & hip issues.Enter these grippy socks – these are a game-changer for indoor traction, especially for seniors or dogs with orthopedic issues. They’re super soft, his nails don’t go through as long as I keep them trimmed, and most importantly? They actually work.Being a service dog, he is much more tolerant to having his paws messed with than other dogs, but they are super easy to put on and made with quality fabric. As soon as my dog realized what the socks were for, he started racing up and down the hallways, absolutely THRILLED with the fact that he could stop and not slide across the floor.I call these socks his “doggy brakes,” and he genuinely appreciates them. Recommended these for my parents’ dog who just had TPLO surgery on his CCL ligament, and they seem to really help him on the hardwood floors too.Excellent purchase – look no further for the end of the doggy slip-and-slide!

Good overall but flawed.
My senior dog licks and chews on his paws a couple months or so each year due to increased allergy issues. He takes allergy medication year round already so we just have to deal with the problem a different way. These socks are helpful. They are easy to take on and off. They are easy to care for (I hand wash them and hang them up to dry). I like the fact that you get six socks and the grippers are great. However, at least two of the socks (for the back paws) should be longer and have the Velcro in two spots or just one that would be higher up the paw (actually on the leg). They slip down on the back paws too much because they are too short for the back paws. Okay short term but not for longer time frames. Also, the snap for the Velcro attachment to the sock should have a cloth cover over the inside part because it presses into the dogs paw and can cause discomfort. I use these socks for short periods of time during the day when I canât watch him and he sleeps in human socks that I tape on using cloth tape.

I very rarely write reviews, but these things REALLY work! Our little guy is older and has a hard time walking on the wood floors – these work great for him for traction!! Highly recommend!

Didnât work for my senior dog
I bought these Anti-Slip Long Dog Socks to help my senior dog on hardwood floors, but unfortunately, they didnât provide much grip. Despite sizing them correctly and using the Velcro to keep them on, my dog kept slipping, and the socks frequently fell off. While the socks are well-made and would likely work for some dogs, they didnât suit my senior dogâs needs.

Best purchase I’ve ever made!
I seriously should have bought these years ago. My dog is now a senior citizen and his wood floor wipeouts are taking a toll on his body. He can’t even stand on a smooth surface without his back legs spreading. These socks not only fit perfectly around his paws (came with adjustable snap on velcro strap to keep them on) but the grip pads on the socks are thick and really grip the floor. He didn’t even walk funny after putting them on, which I assume means they are comfortable enough. The sock fabric is durable, thick but breathable. Also, no more early morning click clack from his claws as he paces for treats. I don’t even care if they don’t last long. Just the peace of mind that he’s not going to fall down the stairs is enough to keep buying them.

Great for my dogs feet in very cold.
We live in Northern Minnesota and it’s been -20 to -25. My dog is pretty durable in the cold but his feet freeze quick when it’s this cold. These socks keep his feet warm enough to go for a walk and do his duties. They allow him to walk freely and not awkward like hard bottom boots. They also grip good so he doesn’t slip on hard surface.

Sizing is way off
Our 68lbs Boxer just turned 10yrs old and is suddenly having back leg lameness. She’s been slipping on our hardwood floors. We’ve bought runners and put them all over the house but she’s still slipping. So our vet recommended we trim her nails, trim the hairs between her paw pads and put a moisturizing balm on the bottoms of her feet. So we did all of that but she’s still slipping. It breaks my heart to see her this way and losing her confidence. So I bought some anti slip traction paw grips. They’re like paw shaped stickers that stick to the bottom of her paws. These actually work really well at first, but unfortunately, they only last for a few hours to a day before falling off. So then I bought these socks in size Medium (brown) but unfortunately they were way too big. They literally fall right off her feet no matter how tight the strap is. So I bought them in size Small (pink) but they were way too small, I didn’t even bother taking them out of the package, they look like they’d fit a cat…just look at the picture, it’s such a huge difference between the small and medium, very disappointing. I’ve ordered from another brand but they’re on back order at the moment. Hopefully the sizing will be better with this other brand once they come in. It’s too bad, I really wanted these socks to work for her :(.

Bought these to prevent my Westie from licking her paws.
I got a size XS because her paws are only 1-1/2″ wide and the ad said if your pet is between sizes, go down to the smaller size because they have some stretch. They fit well. The first day I didn’t snap on the Velcro stays and one worked its way off, but the Velcro is keeping them in place for the past 3 days. She’s 9 years old so she’s not real active like a puppy. She’s not crazy about wearing them. I did notice she has started licking higher up on her leg above where the sock ends though. I may have to have the groomer shave her legs if this keeps up. She must be ingesting the hair because every couple of weeks her tummy starts squeaking and she won’t eat or even drink for 2 days. Then she’s constipated for a day after which she has the most horrendous gas. The reviews for the anti-licking sprays were not at all encouraging and I’m not sure ingesting bitter apple or whatever would be good for her.

I have a 75 lb. GSD and ordered the âLargeâ size. They fit perfectly and are very easy to get on and off. You also get 3 pairs of socks in one pack which is a bonus!!!The anti-slip traction grip on these socks is very generous side to side and fully extends from the front of the paw right through to the back unlike some other styles where the grip is focused mainly under the front toe pads of the paw. Even if the sock shifts slightly on the paw it continues to provides excellent traction due to the double-sided design of the sock.Theyâve made a huge difference for my girl. Very happy with my purchase.
