VERY OFF ON SIZING
The product seems remarkable well made and durable but SIZING VERY VERY WRONG!!!!! Measured according to their chart, 3-year-old goldendoodle, extra large should have been a bit big for our boy but DOESâNT EVEN BEGIN TO FITâ¼ï¸ Very very disappointing as thereâs no larger size, We agree with all the other reviews on sizing! WAY WAY OFF!!!!!!! Company needs to rethink their sizing chart!!!!!

Warm, but has some quirks
This review is for size xs of the Dog Helios Weather King coat.LIKES-Nice and toasty, and comfortable! The lining of this coat is wonderful – like metallic emergency blankets. It kept my dog warm like a little poodle pizza this January in NYC. He wore a light pajama underneath and still had plenty of room to move around in the coat. The coat itself was not too stiff, as some winter pet clothes can be.-This coat has a sturdy double zipper.-This coat zips up the back. So if your dog stands there and takes it while you dress them, this is a great garment for you.-There is a false pocket for the dog’s harness (the pocket opens to the inside of the garment, where you can run a leash through).-The legs have some velcro around their openings so that they can be adjusted, in our case – more fitted to the dog’s leg to block out wind. The hood also has a drawstring near the neck to ensure better fit.-The color / aesthetics are beautiful.DISLIKES-The sizing seems odd. My dog is a 4.5 pound poodle mix (yorkiepoo possibly) with long legs. He stands about 9″ high and is 10″ from neck to tail. When he wears this coat, his bum sticks out more than with other Helios jackets/coats. I know he’s not wearing the wrong size, as the rest of the garment is quite roomy on him.-Meanwhile, the hood extends very far up the dog’s head. The zipper for this coat goes all the way up the back of the garment and hood in one line. I think a better design for this coat would have been for the zipper part to end at the neck of the coat and the hood to have multiple buttons or snaps in order to adjust the amount of closure for the dog. Otherwise, with the design as it is, the dog can either wear the hood (and for my dog, this doesn’t fit), or leave it off, which is how my dog wore it. (When the hood is fully zipped up, it’s like my dog is in a tunnel.)-The coat zips up the back, but does not have any snaps to temporarily close the coat while zipping it up. If your dog doesn’t stand still, it will complicate dressing. Other Helios coats do have this feature of a temporary snap and it’s a great help with my dog, who thinks playtime starts with putting on the coat.

Awesome coat!
Love this coat! Iâve spent more on Hurtta coats and snow suits for my dogs. I love that this has full coverage and no gaps on the chest and fully covers most of the belly. We hike multiple times a week in Alaska throughout the winter and this is the best fitting coat Iâve ever had for my yorkie. I got the small and she is 10 lbs. All the legs were the perfect length and appreciate the Velcro closures for the legs versus snaps Iâve had on other coats.Would definitely recommend this coat!

Run Extremely Small
The size was very small and didnât reflect the size chart. I had to return it. Iâd probably recommend one or even two sizes larger to anyone buying this coat.

The coat is great, excellent construction, but itâs simply not possible to get this on a young dog – with mine, I got one leg in and by the time I got the second one in, the first was out…a bit of a comedy, really. Iâm keeping it because Iâm hoping one day sheâll calm down…like when sheâs 20…

This jacket design is great, I am disappointed the largest size doesn’t fit my pup. Most jackets measurements are back length, but this company appears to include the snood in the length measurement – I typically purchase 26″ length (as I did here) but this was not even close to fitting. Same with chest girth, sizing says 30″, I typically order 28″, not even close to getting it zipped up. Maybe a great product if you have a small breed dog, but I will unfortunately be returning. If there was XXL sizing I’d try again.

The jacket itself is very nice, the sizing was wacky. XL is the largest size made by this company. And the XL was not big enough to fit my Old English bulldogs. But with some alterations it is perfect
