Worth the money
Our Samoyed had developed the beginnings of Hygroma’s on his elbows so we had bought a couple of other pads in order for him to sleep on something soft. He has always preferred a hard surface and the other mat was more firm. It worked okay, but he vomited on it and it was impossible to clean well. So back to the drawing board. I saw this one and compared it to another one online and finally decided to buy this one because it was advertised as having a heavy duty outer cover and being easy to clean. I really wasn’t sure whether he would take to it, or not, but we really needed something, so I gave it a shot.I will admit that I did not expect him to adapt to it quickly, but he did. On the instructions when I received it they said that the dog would take to it better if I lay on it for a little bit prior to offering it to him. So I did for about ten minutes. It’s pretty comfy – lol. The size is perfect for fitting in his crate. He sleeps in a crate at night. When I put him in his crate the first night he went right in. I expected to hear him ripping at the material right away, but he didn’t. His prior mat, he had torn on the first night. He seemed to really enjoy sleeping on this bed way more than any other we have ever tried.The reason I give it five stars is because in the morning I let him out to go to the bathroom and then put him back in his crate while I shower and get ready. This morning he had runny poop and I didn’t notice that he had some stuck to his fluffy butt (Sammy’s are really fluffy). Unfortunately he got quite a bit on his mattress and I was like, “well, this will put it to the test.” Anyway, my wife and I got the outer cover off really easily and the under cover that is waterproof was in pristine condition. Nothing had gotten through. We cleaned the tough stuff prior to putting it in the washing machine, washed it, dried it and it looked good as new. Fit right back over the pad with the inner liner and was good to go. Perfect. I couldn’t ask for better. This is the real deal.Our Sammy weighs about 75 lbs, he chews and tears anything he can, but he has been happy to sleep on this pad without destroying it. We have been through so many other bedding items in the past that for years he slept on hard surfaces. Probably why he has developed the hygroma issue to begin with. I am so happy with this product and after today’s events that I came on to give this review. Worth every penny for us!

my two dogs share a kennel during the day while we are at work and one of them has allergies really bad in all seasons. having a comfortable bed for her (10.5 yrs old) that i can easily wash the cover is great! it also has a waterproof liner under the cover before the foam so any accidents do not damage the foam bed. being able to purchase spare liners and covers are a really big selling point for me and why i chose this bed for my two dogs. highly recommend, very well made

Great bed. I liked it so much I just bought my second.
This is a really solid product and you will know this the minute you unbox it. The bed comes in four separate pieces: The memory foam and three separate covers. Assembly is fairly easy, involving a slight bit of stuffing of the foam into the various covers. If you fold the foam into a U-shape before inserting it into each cover, as indicated by the accompanying instructions, you shouldn’t have any issues. The memory foam that is at the heart of the bed seems to be of a very high quality. It’s certainly as good as or better than than the innards of any other dog bed I have ever owned. It does seem a little rigid when you first unwrap it, but don’t be put off by this. It tends to soften up a bit after a week or so of use, although it remains firm and easily supports the weight of even the largest of dogs (I have three Huskies). The three zippered covers that come with the bed are also of very good quality. The first nylon, dark brown cover slips over the memory foam directly and acts as a waterproof liner. The second, canvas-like, black cover slips over the brown liner, protecting the bed and adding durability. The third, two-toned brown cover is a nice addition that adds a velvet-like, soft top to increase comfort and a non skid bottom so that the bed can be used on hardwood or tile floors. If needed, you can remove each of the zippered covers for maintenance. Barring an serious accident, you will probably never need to remove anything other than the third cover for cleaning. The proof of my satisfaction is that I just purchased my second bed after having owned one for several months and seeing that it met with my dogs approval. There might be some dogs that don’t like this bed, but based on my experience, you are getting a high quality, well thought out product that will provide your dogs with both support and comfort.

I bought 2 different sizes of these for my 2 Lab crosses (110 lbs each) for each of their kennels. We have had trouble with them chewing other beds and blankets but when they tried these out, I think they were so comfy they haven’t even tried to chew them (fingers crossed). They are much happier to go to bed at night now, seem very relaxed. The beds are incredibly durable, I ordered the Ballistic Nylon covering and it lives up to the name, their big nails haven’t even made a mark in it. You could spend 30%-50% less on other beds, but these seem like they will last for years, had them for almost 4 months already and they still look like new. The memory foam still bounces right back each morning when they get up and head outside. I would even want a bed for myself made out of the same memory foam. You won’t regret this purchase. Just be aware that as of this review, they are shipping out of the USA so you may incur a border duty on your purchase, probably about $15-$20 a bed. Buy this bed, your dog will love you for it.
