First of all, YOU MUST LET THIS MATTRESS SIT OUT FOR 24 HOURS after removal from the box. Or, you can be an idiot like I was, and email the company and tell them the mattress isn’t the size it was advertised to be! lol! I measured it at a short 45″ when I took it out of the box, and was very upset. However, after they replied and told me what to do, it did indeed expand to the correct measurements. (It even expanded with my dog laying on it, which I thought was pretty cool!) So be sure and read the instructional insert that comes in the box.We bought this bed for our 68-lb. mixed breed, Piper, who will be 15 in April. She has arthritis in her back, and her back legs are weak. Prior to finding this bed, she was laying on the cushions from our love seat that we laid out on the floor for her. They were deep, though, and she was starting to have trouble getting “out” of them. So we wanted something less soft, and less deep. This mattress looked perfect. And judging from how she is sleeping on it, and laying on it most of the day, I would say it is.A couple of negative reviews on here were with regard to the waterproof lining that really wasn’t/isn’t waterproof. I think if you trust waterproof linings, and they don’t work, that’s really on you. With dogs, you always need to put extra safeguards in place. I also don’t want to be washing this cover if she has an accident; I want it to stay beautiful. So here’s my solution, and how we have it set up for Piper: the mattress is covered with a blanket. On top of the blanket, we have waterproof crib pads from the baby section at Wal-Mart (you can get waterproof baby stuff in all different sizes, which is wonderful), and on top of that, we have a really soft gray throw that’s tucked “in” so it looks very neat. This will solve the “is it waterproof or isn’t it” with the inner lining. It will also keep the padding from having dog odors just from laying on the cover with no other covering on it. (And the crib pads DO work. When a 68-pound dog pees, it’s a lot of pee, and these pads have caught them all, after being partially absorbed by the blanket.I highly recommend this bed for any dog to sleep on, especially large dogs. The covers (you get two) are sewn so nicely that I had trouble finding the zipper, as it’s hidden under a seam. The mattress is very firm, and not made with cheap foam. This is definitely memory foam.The mattress shipped the same day I ordered it. I can’t say that will always happen, but I was thrilled. My email was also answered promptly, and courteously, as were all of the follow-ups.In closing, if you’re thinking of a bed for your dog, this one is top of the line.

These beds are awesome!!!!
We had 2 elderly labs who could no longer always control their bladders. We wasted money on beds that claimed to be âwaterproofâ but their pee would still get through to the padding and make the beds and the house smell so bad. However, these beds really are waterproof!!!!They have a top cover that is easy to remove and wash, and underneath there is a totally waterproof cover (which is also washable) which stops the pee from getting through to the memory foam. The memory foam also provided great support for our dogs (we found some beds didnât have enough cushioning for them as they were so large/heavy).The product is also very durableâ¦2.5 years later and the beds are still in great shape. Once of our labs has since passed away but our new puppy (pictured) as well as our 2 other dogs love laying on them too! The seller even provided a spare cover for both beds we ordered free of charge! I definitely recommend this bed and this seller.

Great bed, exactly what I was hoping for
This is a quality dog bed. I did a lot of research before selecting this one, and so many dog beds out there have washable covers but that’s not enough to keep a bed in great condition. What sold me on this one is the zippered mattress protector that repels liquid and keeps anything from soiling the actual memory foam. The outer cover is super soft, easily removable, machine washable and it comes with a bonus cover to use while the other is being washed. The memory foam/gel combo is very supportive and has excellent bounce back. This is the perfect size for both of our mini poodles to comfortably lay on.

Best dog bed I have found!
I got one of these as a second bed for when I was cleaning the other bed for my senior corgi (15 years old at the time) who got a little messy from time to time due to her age. I have now replaced the beds for my other dog as well with one of these.Couple of key things about this bed. The cover system is perfect. There is a nylon interior cover that goes over the memory foam. It’s kind of a pain to put on, but you really only have to do this once since the outer cover is waterproof and washes up nicely in the laundry. What’s really amazing is that replacing the outer cover takes about 10 seconds because the cover does not stick to the rubber mattress (which is encased in the interior nylon cover).If you have ever used one of the normal egg-crate foam rubber dog beds, you know that once you have laundered the cover and it is time to put it back on the mattress, it’s a hassle trying to stuff the mattress into the cover, and you are likely to eventually rip out a zipper because the quality of the covers are never very good. That is not an issue at all with this bed.Also, the bed comes with a pair of outer covers, so that you can immediately swap out the cover with a fresh one while you are laundering the dirty one.Most importantly, dogs love these beds and the quality of construction is well worth the price (and the saving of time replacing the covers when washed).

Fooling people with normal yellow foam! Not a good quality product and definitely not worth the price. you can make exactly same at home just buy normal foam and put a cover on it. Donât waste your money on this. I returned it.
