Not easy to use
There’s nothing to scoop it out of the container. You can’t sprinkle it over the food the texture is weird. It’s like cornstarch in the container I had little scoops from another product and used it to scoop it caked in to scoop like wet sand.

The dogs like it in their food

I added this white powder and they had no issues and gobbled it up. I have been putting it in their food every day. I cannot tell if it is helping with the plaque and tartar but they eat it. It did not come with a scoop so the measurement suggestions are worthless as they use the measure of “scoop” not teaspoon or something measurable.

Difficult to administer safely without proper dosage instructions
Himnun Dog Teeth Cleaning dental powder is finely milled, unscented, and mint green in color. I ordered this product for my small breed adult dogs in hops that it would improve their dental health.Both fur-babies had their teeth cleaned recently and one had several incisor teeth extracted due to mobility and inflammation. My dogs are rescues and never showed interest in dog toys and brushing their teeth is a fight. So this product sounded like the perfect solution.Unfortunately, the instructions are vague so I took this product to the vet and inquired about it during their dental cleaning appointments. Needless to say, I opted not to give it to my dogs. So I donât know how well it works but I think it would be helpful if the directions indicated how much should be given to pets by weight to ensure that the proper amount is administered.

Helps with bad breath, but plaque removal takes time
Iâve been using this teeth cleaning powder for my dog, and Iâve definitely noticed an improvement in her breath. The powder mixes easily into his food, and he doesnât seem to mind the taste at all. As for plaque and tartar, itâs taking a bit longer to see significant changes, but Iâm hopeful itâll work with consistent use.

Questionable Results and Ingredients
I thought I’d give this dog teeth cleaning powder by Himnum a try on our senior dog who has some dental issues associated with age. Most of his bad breath comes from trapped particles between his teeth and some level of gum inflammation. The product is a very fine powder and is simply added to their food, but doesn’t come with a scoop or dosage chart. Based on the product suggestion to use 2 grams, I went with 1/2 teaspoon for our 64lb pooch. The main ingredient, Zeolite is said to aid with detoxification of heavy metals but more research is needed to establish its effectiveness on dogs and how this actually helps their teeth. I found that adding it to his food made no measurable difference in the first couple of weeks so I tried applying it directly to his teeth, especially around the gum line with a Q-tip. After a couple more weeks, there was a slight change to the stained areas of his teeth and some reduction in gum inflammation but this may also have been from just the mechanical removal of particulate from using cleaning tools. Our dog is fairly easy going when it comes to cleaning his teeth and gums but this is not always the case with some dogs. The protease in this product is intended to aid digestion by breaking down proteins and the green tea extract is useful as an antioxidant but care should be taken not to give them too much as it may contain caffeine too which is not good for dogs. Overall, the results from this product have been minimal but our dog hasn’t shown any adverse affects either. All things considered, I can only give this 3 stars.

Inert flavor; good ingredients but no scoop?
I like the short list of ingredients for this doggie dental powder. It’s certainly easy to use: just sprinkle it on the kibble and stir it around, leaving a white powder dusting on the kibble that will polish the dog’s teeth while they crunch through their meal, and hopefully leaving a bacterial inoculation in their mouth from the probiotic in the powder. It doesn’t work its way into the kibble bits quite as easily or invisibly as the other powders I have tried; it looks a bit like crushed limestone dust on the surface of the kibble pieces. My dog does not lick the mixing spoon after adding this powder, the way he does for some other brands that add flavoring like beef liver powder, but he doesn’t find it off-putting the way he does the mint flavored powder we tried. Inert is probably the best word for this one.I know that green tea is sometimes controversial for its use in dogs–mostly, you want to avoid giving dogs caffeine, which green tea contains. However, in small quantities, it can be beneficial; see the VCA article on the subject. So I don’t mind having green tea as one of the ingredients in this powder.The jar arrived with a tamper-evident foil seal, for safety, but strangely it did not come with a scoop. I just grabbed a scoop from one of my old dental powder jars, washed it and put it in this one, but since the instructions specifically refer to a scoop, you would expect them to include the scoop. I’m also not in love with the price, which is double the cost per ounce of some other similar powders out there. Since my dog doesn’t love the flavor, I don’t plan to get this one again.
