Pretty good
I like that you can store things inside these, it actually makes them more stable. I use the bigger step for the dog to access the bed, but I use the smaller one under my desk as a foot rest.

Much Better Than My Other One
Quite happy with this and my older pup is too.It took a little bit to train her to use this instead of jumping up and down the bed literally right beside it⦠but now she gets it and itâs a nice reassurance for us that we are reducing the wear and tear on her aging joints and hopefully preventing any future serious incidents.We got stairs before but we replaced them with this⦠the others had steps that were just too small. In about the same length, the other had three steps, which meant that each step was very shallow. This one has a larger footprint per step, so itâs more practical and less intimidating. An added bonus is that the steps open so you can also use this as storage for their toys and whatnot. Thereâs a scratchpad on the side for cats⦠we donât have a cat, but itâs definitely nice to have that for those of you that do.This is really sturdy as well. One can use this to step up higher on something. Itâs strong enough to support up to 220 lbs. Of course, I wouldnât make it a practice, but it is there if you need it.Overall, very pleased with this.

Two steps for my old lady cat
I have recently moved items around in the bedroom, and noticed that my old lady (14 yrs) cat was having some difficulty in getting up on the bed at night. I had moved a cedar chest from the foot of the bed, but didn’t want to put it back as it a trip/impact hazard at night for midnight runs to the bathroomI saw this and figured to give it a try. It arrives flatpacked, in a plastic envelope without any instructions. It was pretty easy to figure out – put the rigid board into the folding sections (there are 2 – one is tucked in between the small and large boxes. Then put the box tops on, and you’re done.Ad copy shows a full size human on it, so no worry that my older heavier cat will cause it to collapse in the middle of the night It comes with a scratchy pad, which is funny as the whole item could fit that description. The whole thing has a 1″ by 2″ footprint and about 1″ tall. Very lightweight, but my cat was able to immediately use it at the cat super highway to the comfy spots.

Perfect Size for Couch Access!
I have several small dogs, none of whom need to jump given their potential for neck and spine injuries/degenerative conditions; several are Dachshunds and the others have Dachshund in them! Very pleased with this set, except for one issue for which I decided to not subtract a star but will mention it here.First the good! Sturdy construction and nice fabric in neutral gray and beige. They come with hard bottoms with fabric ties in the corners for easy removal. These bottoms give great stability to the cubbies! The larger cubby, as pictured, has a cat scratching area on one side, a nice detail to be sure. I will anecdotally add here, that if you have cat(s) or have been a pet parent to one, if your cat uses this scratching area it’s because the cat decided to, not because it was made for him and you wanted him to! The cubbies join to one another with velcro, a very nice detail and keeps the cubbies together as well as gives stability overall!Second, the one downside: I wish the lid edges were better constructed. These are made of fabric with cardboard inserts that are rather flimsy. The lids came out of the packaging crumpled. It then took a bit of doing to get the lids on the first time. I hope they will stretch a bit over time to make taking the lids off and on easier. I ordered these for the storage potential, so easily working lids is pretty important to me! Will continue to assess and hope to not have to subtract a star!

Cute and effective.. slides a little too much
On hardwood floors the stairs tend to slide around a bit too much. Especially when rambunctious puppies are running around. But these stairs do their job getting our Weiner dogs up and down off the couch.
