I purchased these sized MEDIUM boots for my 5mo, 11 lb, Shih Tzu. The boots are just a little big but not too big for my puppy because a size small is usually too small. So, a medium is a good size for a 11lb Shih Tzu, still growing, puppy because it’s easy to get the paw boot on. My puppy is able to run and play in the snow, for a very short time, in these boots. By short time, I mean less than 5 mins. Although the size is good, this boot is NOT suitable for cold weather. I don’t know what these boots are lined with, but the lining is very, very thin and is NOT fleece. These boots are not suitable for a puppy. They’re fine for an older dog, who’s had all his shots, and can take the winter cold but no good for a puppy going through his first winter. Especially, not good for a dog as small as a Shih Tzu.

Easy to Put on and Secure for Outdoor Time
Our Chihuahua does not like her feet touched. These are roomy enough that she does not mind when you slide them on. The beads tighten just enough to keep them on her feet, as long as her feet are all the way to the bottom and the elastic is around the leg. She walks a little silly, but she got the hang of it the very first time we put the booties on. I cannot say for sure if they would help on walks. We do not take her on walks when it is cold and snowy enough for her to wear booties. She does not like be outdoors for long, even with her insulated parka, as well.

I ordered another pair of these previously and left a review on those. I followed size measuring instructions really carefully, and ordered the size 3 which were too small for my dog. I re-ordered and got these size 5 hoping for a healthy margin, and they are too small for my dog. Baffled. She’s a 16-pound little dog. If I were to order again, I think I would get 7? 8? I don’t know how big they go. It is difficult to measure a dog for boots, but there’s something about these that just doesn’t seem right. I had gotten some from the pet store that I returned because they fell off immediately. But they fit. Those were XS. I dunno. I guess I’m not ordering a third pair. Disappointing because the design seems to be a more rational dog boot design than so many others I have seen. I am not returning these, or the first pair, because I’m staying out of stores right now due to Covid spread in the area and I guess I am willing to forgo returning to not have to stand in line at UPS. These boots are for short term use. They’re thinner cloth with some tread. They are not going to hold up to long walks. I still think they are onto something with the design of these that really could work where others fail. I just wish I had ordered the correct size. Whatever that may be.

They are so cute on my little black poodle. He’s not fond of them but left them on. Kind of wish they had a Velcro closures instead of drawstrings

Have been using them for a few days now. These are the first boots that actually stayed on my fur babies. I like that it’s draw string and not Velcro. Wish they were water proof but I just place them by a heater and they dry pretty quickly. The important thing is they stay on and protect little paws from the salt. Got a pink set and a blue set for my girl and boy. Not sure how long they will last because the quality isn’t that great but doing the job for now.

First day of use, got damaged! Also if your dog is a Cavalier king Charles, forget! It does not hold! My dog already lost one.
