Nice and strong
Keep this attached to the passenger seat. Its slides down so nobody sitting in the passenger seat notices and if my dog wants to sit in the front seat it’s really quick to slide up and attach.

Good for small dogs, your mileage will vary
Note: It is strongly advised to use a harness and not attach this to the neck collar which could cause neck damage. So I bought a separate, cheap $8 harness which, by itself, worked well.We got a new small dog, about 29 lbs. And in the car he kept trying to come from the back seat to the front seat, stepping on the armrest in between the 2 front seats, sometimes coming all the way into the driver seat which can be dangerous. So I was looking for a way to restrain him in the back seat, without being too uncomfortable for the dog, and decided to try this dog seat belt out.The problem is: where exactly should you attach this belt? It’s designed to attach to the existing car seat belt. And I’m pretty sure you must click (lock) the car seat belt first, otherwise it will move too freely. But even so, the car seat belt will allow the dog to move forward some amount before it starts to pull back. So our 29 lb doggie did end up coming towards the front seat, but he stopped right at the armrest and couldn’t come further. In that sense it worked okay. However, the dog absolutely dislikes this belt, for obvious reasons. He can’t move around too freely. And he gets tangled up a little when he tries to move too much. However, he never got so tangled up that it became dangerous.Overall, this belt does like it says it will do. The problem is how exactly to use it. I’ll keep using it, but I’m also looking into some other belts since I don’t think it’s working too well, and the dog doesn’t like it.

Great product
Before I even received the product I started to second doubt the quality thinking that the part that attaches to the was plastic but itâs actually metal and it works great. It keeps her from trying to climb on my lap when driving and eases my worries about her trying to jump out when the windows are open and she can still be attached even when sheâs on someoneâs lap. I went ahead and bought the twin pack and keep one in my car and my dads car.

Didn’t work in our truck or Jeep
The metal clip didn’t fit our vehicles. It’s too narrow for older cars & trucks.

Great way to keep your pet safe
This clicks into your seatbelt holder in any car. It is super easy to install and get ready for your pup. My dog loves to constantly move around in the back and I needed something to help secure him. Now he stays in place and can still enjoy the air from the window. I feel better driving around with him knowing he will not be flying all over the place. Very durable and the quality is great! My boy is 80lbs and this holds him very well.

Remember to get your own harness.
If you are an older individual, you might actually recognize the way that this harness attaches to the seatbelt. When my oldest was a baby, there were anchor points like that on his car seat. I had to deal with this each time I had to make an adjustment to the straps on his shoulder when moving them up. It was on the backside of the car seat. This is the same simple, easy concept. This attaches relatively easy to the seatbelt, there is a slight learning curve in the beginning. I will probably just leave it on the seatbelt all the time, since I donât feel, itâs a big deal, and would interfere with the comfort of a passenger person in that seat.At first, I felt they shouldâve included the harness to use with it, but as Iâve done some browsing, I realize there are many types of harnesses, and there are many sizes. So, by not having it included, it will allow me to get one that will fit my dog really well.

Edited Review:WELL I was right, this is not a secure method of attaching to the belt. My nervous dog ripped it off 3 times in one round trip to the vet. It worked well until she strained against the belt moving back & forth and dislodged it. The first time I thought it was because I hadn’t attached it properly. The second and third times I knew were a flaw of the design.Go ahead and get it if you have a very small dog that behaves well in the car. If you have one that gets nervous and tries to pace in the backseat and is over 30 pounds, stay away._____________________________________________________________Original Review:So far this has worked really well. It was easy to attach to the seatbelt and I haven’t had any problems yet. The only thing is that the way it connects to the belt makes me nervous. I’m not confident it won’t rip out if I have to slam on the brakes. Hopefully I’ll never have to find out, but still that makes me think that I may look for another kind of harness attachment.

Works well but allowed my dog to “wander”
We have two small dogs that would love to ride in the front seat but for their safety we prefer to harness them in the back seat. The safety belts we currently use are a different design that has a metal end just like a seat belt and snaps directly into the seat belt buckle. With that variety of harness the belt needs to be long enough to allow the dogs to be comfortable but not too long to allow them to move anywhere they want.I was hoping that this design would work better because it is shorter than what we are using but attached further up the seat belt. What I didn’t anticipate is that because it is attached to the belt and not snapped into the buckle it allowed our dogs freedom to move around anyway due to the normal movement of a seatbelt that is normally worn around somebody. This harness works quite differently than what we were using but still allows some amount of movement for them in the back seat. Because it is actually attached to the seatbelt however I am assuming that if we ever slammed on our brakes it would immediately stop any movement due to its attachment to the seat belt itself versus the brand. The harness we now use doesn’t do that and for that reason I’m thinking this may actually be better and safer
