Happy with this seat belt
I ordered this seat belt for my four month old (10 pound) puppy. The belt feels very sturdy and has elastic so she can pull it a little if she wants to move about. The length is adjustable which helps when securing and keeps her where I want her. The attachment clip for her harness is a little different. There is a round lock that pulls down. Once down I can push it in to open the clip and connect to her harness, then it slides back up to lock. I have never used this type of clip but it seems pretty secure. The end that attaches to the car has two options: use in a regular seat belt latch or secure to an anchor (for car seats). After a little research, I found most vehicles have anchors between the seats (where the seat belt latches are) and at least one on the top backside of the seat. Both attachments are an option at the âseat levelâ (where she sits), either by the seat belt latch or the anchor in the seat. At the seat level I feel the anchor would be the better choice since she can step or sit on the seat belt latch and accidentally release it.When I used the anchor attachment from above, the harness connection swiveled so she didnât get tangled up. This option also kept her from sitting or standing on the belt because it was attached from the top. I gave her enough length to lay down, sit or stand. The elastic allows her to move about, but pulls the length back in.I would recommend this seat belt. There should be an attachment option that works with any car since you can use a seat belt latch or an anchor. It feels sturdy and durable so I think it would be fine for bigger and heavier dogs. I also donât think it would be very easy to chew through, but my puppy has not chewed on it at all. I ended up using the top anchor attachment since it attaches from above and she does not interact with the belt at all while it keeps her where I need her to be when driving. This option also does not give her a chance to chew on the belt. Of course after using for a while I may change the location of the belt if I feel something else may be safer – but I have choices.

Just the Right Length For Our Furkid’s Car Rides
I got this HiPetpy Store Dog Seat Belt for our FurKid after realizing that we needed to replace 2 of our dog seat belts during a very recent trip in which one was too long and the other way too short. This is just the replacement that we needed primarily because of the perfect length for our requirements–not too long and not too short at 27″ length unstretched. This seat belt feels high quality, especially the solid carabiner clip. It’s just enough length when our FurKid is sitting in the middle seat. The one thing that I don’t like is the hook latch which I will have to cut off. I just need the seatbelt buckle to secure her when she’s travelling in the car. That’s a personal preference so it doesn’t affect my rating. At $13.99, I think it’s a pretty good value considering the price and functionality that meets my requirements.

High quality with nice features
This strap feels well made and secured my dog in the car. Currently she’s 21 lbs, but will get much larger, and this is a great size for her. The seatbelt portion worked in my Subaru seatbelts, but I’ll probably use the latch mostly. I love that I can use the latch hook in the back of my SUV as well! I also like that there is an elastic band to secure whichever option you are not using. The carabiner is quick and easy to use (even with one hand), and I’ll probably just leave this attached in the car and disconnect it from my pup when we get out. This helps prevent your pup from roaming around the car and distracting you while you’re driving or jumping out as soon as you open a door, but I wouldn’t trust it to keep a dog safe in a serious accident (even attached to a high-quality harness) due to the the length and elasticity of it. Still it’s better than nothing.

VERY heavy duty. Too heavy for our tiny dog. Good for large dogs.
If you have a large dog, this is perfect. All of the attachments are heavy duty and heavy in weight. It’s adjustable in length and has a bit of give which I like. It works as it should. That said, it’s too much weight for our tiny dog. We are working on replacing the big buckle on the leash end with something lighter.Again, if you have a big dog this will serve you well and should last a long time.

Just what I needed
We have a new Doodle pup that likes to help drive and this restraint has been a perfect aid for safe travel. It will lock into the seatbelt buckle or snap onto the car seat anchor. I use the car seat anchor because it is up higher and helps to prevent tangling with the other two pups. The strap is very sturdy and has a bit of a shock absorber at one end to lessen any jerking.I do recommend and I would buy this restraint again.

Sturdy and easy to use
I have a couple of these dog seat belts and this is hands down my favorite. I just insert one end into the car seat belt slot and clip the other end to his harness. If you prefer, you can use the optional secondary hook that attaches to the baby car seat lock bar behind the seat instead. Either way, your pet will be much safer in the car.The belt has some elastic stretch to it, making it more comfortable for your fur baby. It is a great length, longer than my others. It works perfectly for my 55 pound lab. He has room to sit up or comfortably lie down.Great value for the money and deserving of 5 stars. Dog approved!

Shorter Than Advertised
I ordered this specifically because I wanted a longer tether that I could also clip to a belt to use as a leash. The description says that it is supposed to be 49 inches max and from the picture this looks like that is the unstretched max length, but even if it were stretched that might have suited my needs ok. The strap I received is only 35.5 inches long unstretched (including the clips on both ends) with an extra 5-6 inches of stretch for a total stretched length of about 41 inches. The 27 inch minimum length is accurate. Even though the strap materials are sturdy and it seems to be strongly stitched, I would not have ordered this product if I had know these were itâs actual dimensions.
