Dog Loves it!
My pup goes crazy as soon as I pull this out. It keeps him busy and makes him very happy.

Cute
My Cavapoo loves finding her treats in this puzzle. It’s easy enough yet has some challenge for her.

engaging and high level difficulty for my pup
My lab is a very smart pup and very much likes to stay active. She is alert and well-disciplined, so I am always looking for fun ways to engage her mentally. We have several of these puzzle treat feeders, so she was already familiar with the idea when we got it. Early on, I adopted the rule that she is not allowed to use her feet. I try to teach her to only use her nose (and sometimes teeth). This helps to keep the toy in place, and makes it a bit more challenging. She very quickly took to this new puzzle toy. She understood immediately that the task was to move levers to get to the food (the video was taken the first time we played with it). I like that the pieces do not come out, as it makes it easier to keep everything together, and prevents chewing on the pieces to the same extent. The downside is that because the pieces stay in, they are more likely to get in the way. The yellow pieces in the middle have to rotate to allow the oblong (bone) pieces to move. This is pretty tricky and gave my pup the most difficulty. She was able to move the yellow pieces to get to the food underneath them, but did not immediately recognize that they also needed to be moved to shift the other pieces. For puzzle that have pieces that come out, this is not an issue as the pieces are removed and stay out of the way. I did not find that the squeaker in the middle got activated much, but I supposed this could be a fun way to signal to your pup that it’s ready to go.Overall, this is a nice addition to our puzzle toy collection. The jury is still out on whether I like the rotating pieces in the middle or not. It does make it very challenging, which is likely good or bad, depending on how good your pup is at these puzzles. It also keeps the pieces from getting lost.

Durable, and fun.
We have used this puzzle feeder about 6-7 times per dog and this been great. My girl figured it out pretty quickly and mostly does it by memory now, but she still enjoys it. My boy he is a little slower, he works it out eventually and he still hasn’t memorized how to do it. It’s mostly I think a difference in breed. She’s a working breed, and he’s a Chihuahua mix. Both great dogs, both enjoy the toy. She’s just faster. My dogs are 15 and 35 lbs and it’s great for both of them.

Not Very Sturdy
Maybe our dog isn’t the right candidate for this toy, he tried chewing it, which we stopped. The food slots are really small, we couldn’t fit his regular kibble in there, it only fits tiny treats. He did like the squeaky button, but I think if I left him alone with this he would destroy it pretty quickly. Maybe this is best for small dogs or cats?

Great for treats, but not as a slow feeder for most dogs.
I love this puzzle for our dog! She is a mix breed with some terrier, and she weighs 23 lbs. We put treats in it and watched her go to town trying to figure out how to get them. She occasionally would try to bite the slides, but we would redirect her and she’d switch back to pawing and pushing with her nose. If we left her alone with it, I imagine she’d do some damage by chewing, but the instructions tell you to supervise your dog and keep them from chewing on it.At first I was worried that she would really struggle with moving the yellow pieces around the center so she could slide open the oval covers, but she eventually got them all open! The puzzle is fairly lightweight, so she does end up pushing it all around on the floor, but that’s not a problem. A more enthusiastic pup might flip it over. The little sliding covers have cutouts which allow the dog to see and smell the food inside. The puzzle is advertised that it can be used as a slow feeder. Technically you could, but you would be refilling it over and over to be able to give an entire serving. The spots where you put the food is similar to the size/depth of a pop bottle lid. Depending on the size of the kibble, you could only get a few pieces in each of the spots and still manage to get the cover to slide over it. The puzzle also advertises that it’s dishwasher safe. That may be true, but I can’t figure out how to remove the sliding covers so that EVERYTHING can be washed. To clean it properly, I will have to hand wash it.

Keeps my dog’s mind stimulated but he figured it out quickly
I wanted a toy that would keep my dog’s mind sharp & focused. I got him snuffle mats but he tends to destroy them when they are out of treats. I decided to try this.It didn’t take him long at all to figure out how to work the puzzle & he had all the treats in NO time. It is a fun toy & he seems to enjoy working for his treats. It is plastic but NOT cheap plastic, it has been durable for me so far. I’m glad I got this for him, it adds some variety to his playtime

Brain enhancer for our aging dog…
Our 12 year old dog seems to be loosing some of his spunk. So this was a fun way to introduce something new for him. He loves to play and find the treats. It’s amazing how little you have to ‘teach’ them. Most of the time, they just figure it out! Entertaining for both us AND the dog!!
