It’s perfect for my dogs!
I’ve had so much fun watching my Huskies work for their treats. They look forward to me filling it with their favorites!I would recommend it to anyone with medium to small dogs. My cats even sneak some of the treats out too!

Better for confident dogs?
I held onto this to give to my dog for Christmas. He sort of likes it. He can figure out how to get the food from the compartments though once in a while, they snap down on his nose and then he runs away and has to be coaxed back to try again. So far, he has not figured how how to push the button to make the food go into the chambers. To be honest, at 10lbs, I’m not positive that he weighs enough to get the food to release so i guess I’ll be doing that part for him.Overall, he likes it but only when i help him.

Kept my pup occupied
I have a very smart border collie puppy that tends to gulp his food down so quickly he gives himself hiccups. But this toy/slow feeder kept him busy enough that he was forced to slow down eating and doesn’t get hiccups anymore. Plus his tail is wagging the entire time he’s figuring out the puzzle

Dog just takes the lid off! Best for small dogs.
This dog puzzle came well-packaged, and is constructed of heavy-ish, good quality material. It feels sturdy, has grippy feet and does not slide around. The doors are very intriguing to our 11-pound mini-golden doodle, and she spent quite a bit of time the first two days playing with it and eating the food and treats I put inside. HOWEVER, within an hour she discovered that she could just push off the lid and eat out of it like a bowl! Ohh, the mess! There was dog food everywhere! She just picked out the treats and left the rest scattered around. So, resourceful-pet owner beware: TAPE THE LID ON! I think this is most appropriate for a small dog, probably 15 pounds, max, as the doors to the compartments are very small. Also, even though it is heavy and sturdy, at one point she picked the whole thing up and shook it. If our black lab got ahold of it, he would just shake everything out.

So exciting!
It was fun watching them smell for the treats & eventually find out how to get to them. It took a little longer for them to realize how the treats get to the spots, but it kept them occupied for some time.
