This will in no way be a substitute for the yearly dental cleaning, but much to my surprise, it actually worked! My beagle has a quite sensitive stomach so I slowly introduced it to him. I started off with 1/2 scoop in his food. After seeing no negative side effects, I eventually increased it to two scoops a meal.This is no miracle worker, but it definitely has cleaned up some of his back teeth and his breath doesnât smell quite as bad. We will definitely be going to the âdentistâ yearly, but hopefully this will help him.

It works
This stuff has a very powdery earthy smell to it so I wasn’t sure if my dog would like it. I definitely don’t think it’s his favorite. When it’s throw into his food he will still eat it but if any of the powder remains in the bottom of the bowl he will not lick it out lol. I made sure that I add it right to the top of his food and don’t let it touch the bowl sides or anything. I do notice that his breath is not stinky anymore!! I haven’t looked directly at his teeth but he smells so much better in general and even when he licks himself im not smelling stinky dog breath. I’m not sure how the included amount will last 6 months when I give 3 scoops a day for his size and instructions but we will see!

Very picky dog eats it
I have to agree with other reviews, the smell is off putting and chemically (but it’s a chemical powder to clean teeth, so….lol). It kind of resembles the smell of a greenie but also that of a cleaner. As the products information from the manufacturer says made in China, we were a little hesitant to give to our dog before reviewing the ingredients but upon review, didn’t see anything overly concerning. Additionally, on the container itself it says made in Ireland? Either way, we have an elderly dog with severe dental wear on her teeth and staining. We are only a week in so I’m not sure how well it is working for the tarter buildup and staining (product takes 3-8 weeks per manufacturer) but it has improved her breathe drastically, both after eating as well as between meals (other reviews said only after eating). Additionally, she is a very picky eater but doesn’t seem to mind the added powder to her meal. The site says to moisten her food if adding to dry however if you add too much liquid it turns the powder into a paste that just sticks around the bowl and she is hesitant to eat (it hasn’t gone to waste, the puppy eats anything). So we have been spritzing her food with a spray bottle and then adding the powder to help it stick.

Iâve been using this for a few days now and I can say that it honestly seems to be working. There hasnât been any visible plaque buildup since his teeth were brushed and his breath is definitely more under control. Most importantly, it passes the true test⦠the dog still eats his food when the powder is in the bowl !

WHAT I LIKED:- It seems to be rather tasty as my dog laps up his food with more gusto than usual with this mixed in- The label included a recommended dosage based on the dog’s weight, and the dosage is measured by the spoon that’s included within the container – which makes it all very convenient to incorporate into my pup’s food- I could mix it dry, which works well. I like to mix in some hot water into my dog’s kibble and the powder dissolves easily in water- It comes sealed, which provides a basic level of safety and assurance- My pup didn’t experience any adverse reactions to it- Within a week of adding this to his food, I noticed a significant improvement in my pup’s breath.- Because of the probiotics also present in the powder, my pup’s digestive system has also become a lot more stable.WHAT I DIDNâT:- It’d be great if it came available in bigger volumes. the My dog weighs approx. 32kg/70lbs, which according to the directions, he’d need about 6g of powder per day (3 scoops at 2g each). One container contains 80g of powder, which means it’d last approx. 14 days. Itr’d be better if I could purchase a month’s or 2 supply rather than having to purchase it at a 2 week-frequency, which would be more expensive and a bit of a hassle.OVERALL:- Great product! Highly recommended.

I often add dental supplements like this to my dogs’ food to help maintain their teeth and general oral health. You can also use this dental powder for cats. The container indicates that this dental powder contains ingredients such as probiotics, green tea, and brown algae. However, it doesn’t provide a full list of ingredients – this isn’t a deal breaker for me, but it would have been nice.My dogs had no issues with having this dental powder on their food. A scoop is included, but it was buried really deep in the powder, so it was hard to find and created a bit of a mess.

This dog teeth powder arrived quickly and was well packaged. I couldnât locate anywhere on the packaging where it was made. Iâve been using another brand of tooth powder with my dog for a while and I was surprised how different this product is. The scoop is much bigger (at least 2x bigger) and the power is much finer. Also though the packages are similar volume this product comes with less weight. All these together give me some challenges with this product compared to a brand I already trust.On the positive side my dog is happy to eat the powder once Iâve tossed his kibbles in it. We had no tummy challenges either.

This dental care powder is easy to hide in my dogs food – you simply sprinkle some over their food and mix it in and it’s like it isnt even there. I have been using it diligently and think it is making an improvement in my dogs breath. Hopefully long term it improves overall oral health too.
