It does cool
I picked these up as I thought they would be a nice cooling treat when it is warm out. I have a couple of cooling towels that I use when it is warm and they work very well. I figured we could both wear them when warm. They do have a very noticeable cooling effect and she seemed to enjoy having it on. I do think it is important to not trust these bandanas to stop a dog from overheating. As an adjunct on a hot day, they are great.I could see placing these into a sealable plastic bag with water and then taking them when out for a hike. When we take a water break this bandana can be worn for an extra bit of cooling. The designs are also very nice, so not only will she be cool, she will be stylishly cool.

Very simple but effective
I got this for my French bulldog and it is effective. Raw edges and not an attractive looking collar but it is about keeping your dog cool it helps and is easy to bring and easy to use. The balls inside donât feel like they are even there until you soak them . I have soaked them over night a few times. But they are reusable. Easy enough to make if you have the time. I would by them again I just wish that they had used less baby like material and had something more neutral.

Neck Wraps
These wraps have a compartment filled with a bead-like gel material that can easily be felt. This section is the only part that needs to be submerged. The gel substance was clumped at one end when I received, so I had to spread it out manually. When wet, the surface is noticeably cooler but not cold. It mostly just feels wet. Itâs not substantial enough cooling for my dogs who have longer hair. These are also long so there was excessive length and I worried itâd becoming a trip or choke hazard for my dogs so decided not to continue using. We have triple-digit temps, so I just donât let my dogs stay outside long and keep lots of water available.

Isnât very cold
I like the style of these cooling collars but they do not stay cool very long. I let it sit in water for 20 minutes for the beads to activate. I could feel the gel beads but they were not very cold. I then soaked it in ice cold water which got the collar cold. I put it on my dog. Within 10 minutes it was room temperature. Not impressed at all.

Better for smaller dogs
These cooling neck wraps aren’t meant for medium or large dogs. There is not enough water retention beads to help any dog larger than maybe a small terrier. These did not help my corgi at all.

I use it for myself
These bandanas are meant for dogs but can be used by us humans too. Although I live in SoCal, my Chihuahua mix is not much into walking so I haven’t really used them on her. I tried once and tied it in a bow so she wouldn’t drag the ends on the ground. But she loves to roll in “stuff,” so I decided to just keep it for my own use. It cools the neck, though the cooling effect doesn’t last a very long time. I keep two of them in the fridge, take them out, wet them and wring them out a bit to keep cool in the hot weather. They also work as a kind of ice pack for a sore neck, which I have, although a little heavy when using two of them on a fairly small person like myself.

Better For Dogs
So first off I think these are a great idea at least for a dog. I say this because no matter what I did my cat freaked out every time I tried to put one on her. It works as it should but cats hate water and obviously being cool I don’t know I don’t get it. Anyways its hard for me to say these would work great for long periods of time at least for my cat. I do recommend for dog owners though. They are cutely designed as well and made with good quality material. I give it 4 stars still because I do think it just so happens my cat wanted to be picky about it.

Put In Freezer and they work
I put these in the freezer and they weak as expected. My dog didnât seem tig Et as overheated, ugly patterns but they do work. Can work on humans too
