Seems easy to install, but had to punt for my Civic sedan
I purchased this because my dog likes to grab me from his back-seat-anchored position, and I needed a barrier of some sort. I chose this particular model because other models are mesh-only, and he’s a 70-pound dog. This barrier DOES intimidate him, and, after a week, his behavior has improved. He still tries to climb over it, but he’s learning I won’t put up with that nonsense. However, while the top is easy to install and adjust around the headrest, I found it a little harder to find an anchor at the bottom of the two front seats. I ended up hooking the bottom hooks around the bottom of the seat-belt-floor-anchor. It’s a little weird, but it’s an effective work-around.in conclusion, I appreciate that the product solves my problem, I love that the price was reasonable, and the installation was fine, but not quite as easy as advertised.

Durable And Fitting For Small Dogs.
So Iâve had this sense the months of 2023. Honestly FOR ME, itâs been the buy. I needed this item because I have a very hyper active SMALL DOG, who canât sit still in the car during vet and grooming drives and not matter how hard I tried I couldnât get her to relax and remain seated in one spot during the those drives. So, in fear that she may become restless at some point during a drive that could potentially cause harm, I turned to the internet and Amazon for solutions and I found this. THIS has been my favorite buy!! For my 2020 Kia, it fits very well, it covers my center council like I wanted it to, it was fairly easy to install, meaning the top two straps on top being adjustable and going around my head rests and the bottom two straps having hooks that hold to the bottom back end of both the back of my drive and passenger seats, these straps also adjust to make the fit more snug so it isnât too loose creating gateways for my dog to squeeze through and make her way up front which is part of what I like about it. Please keep in mind however, be mindful of your pet, you know your pet best! For me this works very well because my dog is SMALL AND 9lbs and she canât bite through or rip the material, sheâs tried to and has never been successful. So, with a bigger dog, the material may be problematic, as possibly the durability. But another thing I like about it too, is this item is LONG, it goes up to about where the head rests are and go down as far as nearly my floor, perfect for my dog sense as I said she SMALL, so she canât climb over or go under it. Overall, I stress this again, FOR SMALL DOG OWNERS THIS A PERFECT SOLUTION FOR HYPER/ACTIVE DOGS that youâd prefer to have in the back seats. Also, I love the how it blends with my carâs interior, hence if you view my photos I provided hard to see the object, my apologies as I naturally prefer all my car accessories to match my interior. So for me personally, the value is there, the price is amazing and worth it for my pet owning needs as Iâve looked at my local Pet Smart and the wanted a little over $40.00 for one, so this one was ideally my best option. Please understand Iâm not saying everyone will be satisfied or find this product the best route for them. This review is completed based on MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT AND ITS INTENDED USE FOR MY SMALL DOG WHILE SHE IS IN THE CAR.

Worked OK
The hooks on the bottom we hard to find someplace to attach them to, but I did get it installed. Seems to be holding up well, but only time will tell.

Works great
Looks good and easy to install. Dog doesn’t seem to mind it and helps me keeping her safe in the backseat

Mostly a visual deterrent.
This is a nicely made barrier, with thick straps and fabric, and the size works well between the front seats of our Ford Explorer. But overall, it attaches too loosely to the front seats and I can’t tighten it any further. While it blocks the dog’s direct access to the driver and the console, he very quickly figured out that he can just stick his head either under the barrier or along one of the sides, though at least the rest of him stays in the second row. I also don’t love the design of the lower straps, with hooks on the end. I understand that those needs to be flexible for various car designs, but in our case, we don’t have an incredibly solid attachment point, so they make the overall fit looser. But all in all, I don’t see any other type of fabric barrier working any better. If you have a well-behaved doggo that stays in the second row, it’ll be perfect.

Defective – TWICE
I ordered this barrier, but it arrived defective. The metal hooks were at the top, and the plastic hooks were sewn at the bottom. This makes it impossible to install, as there is nothing down on the track of a car seat that those little plastic clasps can hook on to. Because the plastic clips are sewn in, there is no way to just move them around to the correct position yourself. I returned it, to be exchanged for the exact same item. Guess what? The second one has the same problem! Probably the entire batch is bad. This time I can only return for a refund. Who knows how many tries it would have taken to get a correctly sewn product anyways! I have looked at other reviews, and it seems to be a common problem. I guess that’s what we get when the label says “Made in China”

Works great
Easy to install. Creates an effective barrier between seats so your dog will not interfere with driving. It is a must have in my wifeâs Toyota Highlander between the back seats so our dogs stay in the cargo area.

Perfect for our dog’s car rides
We bought this item to keep our dog in the back of our compact car. She rides well in the front seat, but the hair was just too much with her there, so we needed this barrier. It appears to be well made. It’s easy to put up & take down – nothing permanent or inconvenient. It should fit most cars & is adjustable. It may not be sturdy enough to keep a big &/or really determined animal from getting through it, but our dog is not very big so it’s fine for her. We’re pleased with our purchase & would recommend it to others.

Does what it’s supposed to do. Keeps dog in back seat. But if you have a large dog that is a jumper like mine she can still get over it…but that has nothing to do with the quality of this product. Lol

This is just what I needed to let cooler air get to the back of the car for the dog.
