works okay
My dog hates thunder and fireworks. She will try to climb in my lap and shake. She weighs over 40lbs, and is too heavy for my lap. I got this in the hopes it would help her feel safe. She does like it and will sit still for me to put it on, so I believe she finds it helps. She still shakes a bit and wants to sit on my lap, but it isn’t as bad.I am not crazy about the design. There is this hairband type circle you put the fronts through and fold back onto the velcro. I keep misplacing this part. It did come with 2 of them.

Bought this for our one cat who has some issues. It has really helped him be so much calmer. At first, he hid a lot and kept trying to get it off. Now the other cats wonder why their brother has a fancy shirt and they don’t. They all want to wear it.

confusing to put on
The material is thin and pretty stretchy. It did have a bit of a chemical odor at first so I waited to put it on my dog. Definitely let it air out before expecting it to work on an anxious pup. There are no instructions on how to put it on and it came with two loops. I had no idea what they were for (and now, why there are two?). I put the belly straps on normally but the neck straps don’t line up like a typical dog coat or jacket would so I twisted them to velcro together. Afterwards when I wasn’t dealing with an unhappy dog I came to the listing and saw the odd way the front works. I have no idea why the design is this way and if it actually puts more pressure over the throat area. It is a thinner strap than I expected for a chest/neck area. If I had looked closer at the design I would have skipper over this one, but we shall see if it helps my pup with fireworks next week.My dog is a 55lb pitbull and the XL was a good size. I was able to tighten the straps enough around her girth. Possibly a L would fit but with her chest I usually choose larger size.

Fits my dog well
Like the other reviewers I had difficulty figuring out the neck strap. She’s only worn it once so far and looking at the photos I now realize I put it on wrong. I wondered what the loop was for and I think I have it figured out now. I like that the shirt is lightweight. She wore it without complaint for quite a few hours. She hears one crack of thunder and it’s off to get under something, desk, table, chair, whatever. The shirt is meant to be tight, like a hug, and the medium fits my 45# rescued mix just right I think. Also as another reviewer said I think the forward strap if too far forward, so I loosened the neck strap a bit to slide the shirt more toward her tail. The big test will be July 4th weekend. We have already heard local fireworks since July 1 and that really bothers her. My senior dog is almost deaf so I don’t have a problem with him. We don’t get to go for walks now because I don’t know what she would do if a loud blast went off close to her. We’ll just run out to the yard and back for short intervals. I do think this helps.

So far the product fits well and was easy to strap on, the material feels nice too. He seems calm right now I will update post if anything changes.

According to the website description, the jacket would help calm the dog in the car. Unfortunately, this didn’t work for my dog.

Its ok
This is well made and plenty heavy enough… however, it is made for smaller dogs… it was too small for our Smaller Mastiff at 45lbs. Good product, just make sure it not for a medium size dog or larger. 7/10

Seems to help our old blind dog, needs instructions
The big issue with this item is that it didn’t come with any instructions and we had to refer to the listing images to figure out how it’s supposed to go on.We have an old, blind, LA dog (so thunderstorms are not something he ever experienced until he was 10 or so), and when there’s thunder, he hides and shakes like a leaf, but this jacket/shirt thing seems to help. After wearing it for about 15-20 minutes he started panting, but I don’t know if that was because he was hot or just because he was amped up from the whole thunder experience.This shirt calms him enough that he sits in my armpit and definitely doesn’t shake as much as he does without it.
