With some training, works great!
I have to larger, getting older dogs. While at first they feared going up the stairs due to the open back, I took about 15 minutes and some treats and praise to get them comfortable quickly using these to get in my suv. Now I can take them to the beach etc and don’t have to worry about them jumping in/out of the vehicle and hurting themselves.

Wide sturdy platform that fold easily and is lightweight. My older golden retriever (83 lbs) easily climbed this. We used this to gain access to the bed of a Ram Rebel – a bit higher than most and it fit perfectly.

These dog stairs make my dog’s life so much easier. My older lab mix is beginning to have some mobility problems, and at 70 pounds I have trouble lifting him into my SUV. These stairs have made both of our lives so much easier.The stairs are light enough that I have no problem carrying and positioning them. The stairs are wide and shallow enough that my dog feels confident using them even though he has some balance problems due to limited mobility in his back legs. The gentle incline makes walking up the steps easy for him as well.Settling up these steps is simple, they just unfold. The steps are designed so they are quite stable when in use which makes my dog and I both feel very comfortable using them.. The stairs fold up easily and are so lightweight that I have no trouble moving them in and out of my car.

Wider and foldable option – awesome!
My older dog was having a tough time getting into my SUV. He’s a big guy, and I was worried about him hurting himself. This ramp has been a lifesaver! It’s sturdy, and the wide steps give him the confidence to walk right up. He was a little hesitant at first, but with a few treats, he got the hang of it right away.It folds up easily, so I can just toss it in the back when we get where we’re going. Bonus – my back is thanking me too! If you’ve got a dog who needs a little help getting around, I’d definitely recommend this.
