chihuahua-approved
I have two chihuahuas, and the breed is pretty famous for terrible teeth. One of them is 7 and has all her teeth; one is 14 and only has 3 teeth (but I’d still like to keep them clean, especially since anesthesia at 14 to clean 3 teeth seems like it may be extreme). They aren’t extremely picky eaters, but if I try to put a vitamin supplement on their food, or a probiotic, they act offended (but still eventually eat). Sprinkling this on their food produced no reaction other than the typical snarfing it down. Win!The ingredients are unique, at least to me and my dogs. I have been using a kelp powder for a while, but this product has added enzymes and green tea extract. I’m hoping that the enzymes provide an extra boost to an already effective product. It has been several days, and they have not had any stomach or digestive issues. They continue to voraciously eat as if I have added nothing to their food, even the one whose food has to pass a rigorous sniff test.

Excellent Sourcing – Effective Ingredients – Fishy Product Smell
This dental care product from Healthy Woof seems to offer a solid option for pet owners looking to support their pets’ dental health. The product boasts excellent sourcing from the US, which is reassuring when considering the quality of ingredients. From what I can tell, the ingredients are consistent with other comparable products on the market, focusing on promoting dental health and fresh breath while being gentle on sensitive stomachs. I expect that with longer usage, this product could provide noticeable improvements in dental health, particularly in reducing tartar and plaque buildup. One aspect to note is that while the product claims to improve bad breath, its own scent might be off-putting for some. The powder has a strong aroma that closely resembles salmon, which could be due to the inclusion of kelp or other natural ingredients. This may not be a problem for your dog, but it’s worth mentioning that the smell may not be the most pleasant for humans. Other products I have used offer more of a green tea scent which Iâd say is more palatable. On a positive note, our dog has accepted the addition of this dental powder to her diet without any adverse side effects. She seems to enjoy the taste, and we have not observed any negative reactions. Given that the product appears to be gentle on sensitive stomachs, itâs a good option for pets with digestive concerns. Overall, while the scent might be a bit strong for some, the productâs benefits could become more apparent with consistent use. Also, we have been trying out a new 360 degree toothbrush with our dog and will have had good results. We will be using that alongside this product and look forward to seeing the long term results. https://amzn.to/4gOkzKV

Gold product
This product saved my dog’s teeth. She is so finicky and refuses to stay still if I try to brush her teeth, so I tried this instead. She was starting to have bad breath at age 7 and I knew I needed to do something to preserve the integrity of her teeth. I started adding this powder to her food bowl and she honestly didn’t know the difference. It doesn’t have a strong smell and I think the taste blended well with the food she has. We’ve been using it for two weeks and I noticed incredible improvement in her teeth and breath. It really works!

Seems to work!
I have used this dental powder with my Jack Russell Terriers. I sprinkle it on their dry food in the mornings and they donât hesitate to eat their food. Iâve tried other powder supplements and many times they look at me like Iâve lost my mind, and begrudgingly eat the meal. With these, they donât hesitate but gobble it right up. I donât think Iâve used the powder long enough yet to tell significant differences. My one pupâs breath thatâs pretty stinky seemed seemed less offensive, so I consider this a big win.

Works if you can get your dog to ingest it
One of my dogs will eat this and sh gobbles it up with her food. Her teeth look clean and healthy. The other one absolutely will not ingest this. I have tried putting it in his wet dog food and he won’t eat the food. I tried peanut butter and it was a no. I already struggled to get him to take his ground up medicine in peanut butrer so this became even more difficult So it is a mixed bag. It works if you can get your dog to eat itThis does have a fishy almost algae smell. Perhaps that is why my other dog will not eat it.

so far so good
So far so good on this dental powder. I have been adding it to my dog’s food daily in the evening when I give him wet food. At first, he was confused by the powder on top of his food, he is a pretty picky eater. However, once he tasted it he gobbled his food right up and now it doesn’t faze him at all. So the flavor must be pretty good on this product. The product can be given in 2 different ways. 1.) By placing it on top of the dog’s food. 2.) or adding a scoop to a small amount of water to make a paste-like treat. The powder includes a scoop which is nice and convenient. So overall I’m happy with this product since my dog seems to like it. We have not had any ill effects from it either.

Dogs won’t touch it
I’ve really wanted to try products like this one to manage my pugs’ oral health.Unfortunately, I can’t speak to how well it works, because my dogs HATE it. Normally extremely interested in eating (they’re PUGS, afterall), neither will touch a bowl of kibble with this in it. If they get hungry enough, they’ll eat around it and leave a pile of powder in the center of their bowls. My puppy, however, likes the taste. He’s only three months old, and when I made the mistake of leaving it on a bowl, he licked it up. He then vomited several times through the day.If it happens to get on their faces, it sticks to their whiskers and is hard to scrub out.I wanted to love it, but it only causes issues for us.

No adverse effects but unsure about effectiveness
Our dog happily eats the two recommended small scoops of powder sprinkled over her dog food every day. It has a meaty scent to it, so I think it’s appetizing for dogs. However, we have not really noticed a huge difference in her breath freshness (which is always a bit on the stinky side) or the cleanliness of her teeth. We’ll continue to use it, but unsure if we would purchase again.
