The Glacier Tek sports vest is designed to keep you cool during and after strenuous physical activity. The vest features dual side elastic straps and over-the-shoulder adjustability for a secure fit on a wide range of body sizes. Each vest includes a set of eight cooling packs that maintain a cool — but not cold — temperature of 59° F for up to 2.5 hours in 100° F heat. The packs are powered by PureTemp, a nontoxic phase change material known for its consistent, repeatable performance over thousands of melting-solidification cycles.
SIZING: The sports vest comes in one size designed to fit most adults. It weighs just under 5 pounds, including cooling packs, and will fit chest sizes between 29 inches and 52 inches. I have POTS and can’t regulate my body temperature, this is AMAZING
I ordered this to wear this Summer for Friday Night Football games because I have a form of Dysautonomia called POTS WHICH MEANS I cannot regulate my own body temperature and here in TX this Summer it has been reaching 110° without taking into consideration the heat index. I got this one eventhough it was more pricey in comparison to others because it claims to keep your core body temp significantly lower for 2 hours in 100° weather which for me can mean the difference between Fainting just while sitting due to the heat and being able to enjoy my daughter’s halftime performance.I have worn it to 2 performances for over 2 hours and the original ice packs lasted the entire 2 hours. I wore the vest under my tshirt but over my bra and I stayed cool the entire time and was able to stay the entire game. I still sweated in other parts of my body but the ice packs did not cause my vest to become wet not did my short appear wet like many other ice packs would do. While the $250 is a hefty price tag it was well worth spending for me not to miss attending my daughter’s events. Until the temperature drops significantly and I’m having to wear a jacket and heat warmers in gloves and boots this vest will be worn to keep my cool to keep me from passing out!!!!!!Thank you for making sure a well made vest and ice packs that allows us parents with health conditions to still be an active part of our children’s lives. Would 100000% recommend this product to people that have to work out in the heat and have a hard time staying cool

Worked very well!
I had to work on my truck I keep in a storage yard. Iâm old & retired. I tried the vest at 100F (109 on skin). After 45 minutes it still had chunks that were still frozen! I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it kept me a lot cooler! Previous trip to yard without vest made me sick from sun stroke. This trip, I felt great and was able to sit inside truck with no AC. I HIGHLY recommend this vest and recommend you buy the extra UPGRADED ice packs. Iâm going to buy ice pack headgear to keep my brain cool after wearing a phase change headband also that day. Keep your head cool and avoid heat stroke! Itâs very easy to put on with Velcro adjusting straps & inserting ice packs is easy. Iâm finding lots of uses, like mowing the yard, landscaping my property, any activity in this summers heat wave, buy it!

glacier-tec use in Phoenix, AZ
Greetings. I live in Phoenix, Arizona and summer came early this year. Im a senior citizen and shoot competitively in the afternoon. Couple of weeks ago the temperature was 114 and I used the vest with 4 panels (2 regular four cell along with two three cell green panels) in the back and 2 four cell panels in the front. It lasted just under 2 hours. I understand that this is an extreme as to why Iâm reviewing this. Three other senior competitors have bought this vest to get through the summer also.

Non-Breathable
Oddly enough, I was hotter wearing the vest than not. In concept, this is a great idea if you are standing in a drive-thru line, or sitting in a park waiting for 4th of July fireworks to start, however if you are actively moving around, I found that i was overheating more quickly with than without. Material is not very breathable and coupled with the non-breathable plastic icepacks, your body cannot breath.If you do choose to get this product, make sure to get the blue booster packs, they are cooler and last much longer.

Blocks in heat
Even with the booster packs, the vest only felt cool for an hour at a time, and I donât have enough time at work to change them out that frequently. While working up a sweat, they trap in as much heat if not more than the ice packs offset.
