PERFECT for my fur baby
This is exactly what my dog needed. It is a large-ish bowl that holds up to 2 cups of food inside the small design (it holds more if you cover up the slow feeder design). It is nice and heavy! It can be washed in the dishwasher safely, too. It is much better than the plastic ones that move around and my dog chewed on. Perfect.

Great Choice for an Older Large Dog or Small Breed
Our dog was gobbling her meals and then regurgitating it because it wasnât digested! We purchased a large hard plastic container made for slower intake of the amount of food at one time. This worked well for a couple of years until I looked at the top and the plastic was worn down and so were her bottom canine teeth. The vet said there was no harm done to them but I didnât like it and decided that feeding dish had to be disposed of. So, I ordered this one as a replacement. Although it is smaller, it is perfect for our 10.5 year old Chocolate Lab/Pointer mix. She eats all of the food in it (we feed her twice daily) and has no problems accessing the contents. She tends to gain weight easily, even though she is active in spite of occasional discomfort in her legs due to arthritis. So this is the perfect way to limit the amount of food she eats! The container is heavy, therefore quite stable, easy to clean and compact. I also like that I was able to purchase it in pink. I no longer worry about her teeth or the fact that she may be ingesting small bits of hard plastic when she eats!

Pretty good but
My 55 lb puppy (and still growing) inhales his food and is a chewer. I needed a slow feeder that he couldn’t chew on when he was done slurping up his food. This bowl slows his eating some and is also fairly indestructible. I knocked it down a star for two reasons. 1) I wish it were deeper. He is still able to gobble his food too quickly for my liking and the bowl being deeper would help. And 2) it’s pricey. Still cheaper than having to replace bowls he could destroy by chewing but it was more than I wanted to spend on a bowl.

Not as slow as Iâd like but easily cleaned
So many slow feeder bowls are impossible to clean completely and require aggressive scrubbing of plastic. These ceramic bowls clean easily and completely and are dishwasher safe.

Exactly what I was looking for
Our dog is a ravenous eater and we have always had to use a slow feeder bowl. We were using a plastic one, but we’ve read more and more about how plastic containers are not really healthy for dogs/ dog food. 1- The oil in kibble can leach into the plastic over time and turn rancid (especially if you aren’t washing them daily). 2- There’s a concern about microplastics, especially when plastic bowls are exposed to heat (we were dishwashing ours- they were hard to hand wash). This one is perfect, and exactly what I was looking for. Easy to wash; deep enough that it’s a challenge for the dog; and big enough for the 1.5 cups of kibble we feed our Doberman. The bowl could certainly hold more kibble than that, but some would be above the grooves/slow feed part. I wish they had more colors so I could get more!

Bought this size as my girl just needed a bowl for 1.5 cups of dry food (see photo). Theâs not a fast eater to start with but this just helps her slow down a bit more and savor the flavor. Works well and being ceramic it cleans up easy (hand or top rack dishwasher as it has small non slip silicone feet on bottom).Happy with purchase ð.

Love love love this slow feeder! We have a medium sized cocker spaniel dog and it is the perfect size. The grooves are tall enough that it slows down his eating but doesnât impede ability to eat. The colour is vibrant and the ceramic feels heavy and sturdy. We previously had a plastic slow feeder, and although itâs light and easy to transport, over time you can feel the grooves and cuts in the plastic from wear. For long term everyday usage, Iâd recommend ceramic bowl usage, and for travel, Iâll continue to keep his plastic slow feeder. Iâve already recommended this to my friend looking into slow feeder for his dog and Iâd recommend it to anyone else reading these reviews contemplating on the purchase. It came well packaged and properly secured to prevent breakage and damage. Highly recommend!
