Great Quality
This is a heavy dusty material and we love the color!

Love Carhartt
I love the color! It’s a hard color to find!

Makes my puppy look good!
I prefer the metal clips, just seems classic to me. The wine color was the reason I selected the dog collar and leash, works with my dog of many colors, a spotted pit bull/belgium mal mix. It doesn’t clash with the brindle spots.

Expensive for no reason.
The only reason I purchased this leash is because my boyfriend is obsessed with Carhartt and he wanted our dog to match. Iâm going to be honest and say you are definitely paying for the name. Is it a durable, well-made leash? Yes. Could you find a durable, well-made leash that isnât a big brand-name for much cheaper? Also yes. Thereâs absolutely nothing wrong with this leash. I just think it is way over priced.

Easy, secure clip
WE LOVE THIS LEASH!! Highly reflective, strong, and way more practical than we imagined it would be. The extra d-ring is great for staking the leash into the ground when youâre hanging out in someoneâs un-fenced yard, and it doubles as a lock/grip when you pull it up to tighten the leash loop around your wrist. I canât say it enough. We love this leash.

Only lasted about 6 months
Main latch that attaches to harness broke and now wonât stay closed. Only used for about 6 months, not even daily, and itâs now unusable. Wouldâve expected better from Carhartt. Hopefully they will replace since it was a fairly recent purchase.

Appearance
I love the color of this leash and how it has a hook that you and make the leash length control able. It is a very good price for the name brand of it.

I love Carhartt, but dog products are not their thing.
Iâd like to start this by saying carhartt is a great company with quality products, but their dog products need some re-work. I will say that the second leash Iâve gotten seems to have a more reinforced nylon, but failed at the clip. So they seem to improve on their products, and Iâm sure this will get better over time. Donât get this if you have a strong Doggo. Iâve gotten two in the past year and theyâve both failed, one on the clip and the other on the secondary clip, and on the hand strap after the secondary clip failed . Their dog line doesnât live up to their standard. Collars I have from them have both failed by coming un-clipped, but have not broken yet. Also, the leash has a very bad clip design. It opens like a crab claw, and if my pup turns a certain way or pulls in a certain direction, it opens the claw right up and she gets loose. Even worse, I have a harness from Carhartt, and that design has two metal rings to clip on. As soon as she pulls forward, the rings pull outwards and open the leash clip right up. There are much cheaper options on Amazon with better clip designs that donât open unless there is pressure on the outside of the clip, unlike being able to open from pressure on the inside like this leash. Very bad oversight on their part. The metal parts make it look like it is an over-engineered clip built for durability, but the housing for the clip is hollow and the clip arms are thin and bend easy. The clips size makes it unnecessarily heavy for how weak it is. Regular cheap dog collar clips are much more fail-proof than this. If you have a chill dog that doesnât pull at all, this leash can best be used as a fashion statement. But other than that, there is nothing durable about it like their line of work products. All in all I donât recommend this product until Carhartt improves it, and Iâm sure they will at some point.
