Best harness we’ve tried yet!
This is Stewart’s second Blueberry harness. He also has the matching collar and leash. Since he does not like having his leash attached to his collar, this harness is perfect with two attachment points. Stewart is still a puppy so it is not safe for him to be off leash yet which is why I really like this harness’ versatility. He’s also a little cautious on walks, and I think the coverage gives him a sense of safety. This harness is rugged yet soft, easy to adjust, the closures are easy to use and stay connected, but are also easy to release. It cleans easily with a little soapy water, and keeps on looking great.For reference – This is a medium size harness and i have it adjusted down most of the way. Stewie is about 17 inches at the shoulder and 25lbs. He has the same harness in small but outgrew it at about 20lbs.

We got both of our Aussies one for walks on the beach and travel. They look great and the quality is amazing. It’s so easy to take on and off the pups.

Great Pyr approved!
So I provided a picture of our Great Pyr puppy when he was 3 months old. He is now 1 year old and obviously grew out of his harness. So, I purchased a different brand, I am not kidding when I say it broke the first use. I honestly only ordered a different brand because I liked the color. So, the same day that I requested a refund for the defunct harness I ordered the larger size of this. It arrived 4 days later and it fits perfect and works perfectly. I will NEVER try another brand again. This is strong while still providing padding. The harness rings are metal and while the clips are plastic they are a hard plastic and like I said, this is our second harness and the other one was simply too small.. NOT worn out. Our 13 year old Weimeraner also has this brand and she has had hers for over a year and its still good, although it was pink and now looks pretty yucky, but I have thrown it in the wash before. All in all I recommend this product over many other options for big dog lovers like me.

Nicely sewn but not adjustable enough and functions peculiarly.
Mostly I am in agreement with those who say this fits rather oddly. It is very nicely sewn and I like the reflectivity. The rings are tightly sewn on and the neoprene and nylon padded parts look great and will likely hold up as well as any quality harness.However…My “mini” border collie (just a runty female) measured with a 12″ neck and a 20″ chest girth. She’s got the chest depth of a dog that needs lots of oxygen to keep her running after sheep. Otherwise, she reminds me a bit of a coyote in body shape, proportions, and movements.The harness’s neck is adjustable at two points by sliding buckle only. I couldn’t get it snug enough with it fully tightened up–at which point it also almost wouldn’t go over her head but was still loose around the neck. The chest straps are also adjustable, at the quick-release buckles on each side, but with both as loose as possible the chest was very snug around the girth. I could get two fingers under it along her rib cage, but had zero extra webbing and could go no looser.I actually videotaped her walking with me with my old leash attached to the front clip. The front clip was the feature for which I bought the harness. My border collie/sled dog has refused all my efforts to train her not to pull as if I were some monster hot on her heels. I hoped to be able to redirect her so that she was focused more on me than on every neighborhood cat, bird, squirrel, and lizard.On our first walk, it was clear that was, at least temporarily, working. She has always pulled so hard that she can take my 170 lb, low-center-of-gravity body down, any time we hit a bit of loose gravel and she lunges. No problems, though, with the front attachment point being almost 100% effective at that.BUT it was painful to watch her gait. She walked the whole quarter mile as if limping on whichever side the leash lay. First problem, the breast plate of the harness seemed too long, with the chest girth straps sitting as far back as possible but still right behind the shoulders. This allowed the chest attachment point to bow to the side and interfere with the flexion of the shoulder joint, plus the placement of the ring allowed the swiveling spring hook of the leash to rub constantly on the head of the humerus bone below the shoulder. It was clear that, though it was not causing her pain, a long walk or many walks would both irritate her skin and possibly do damage to the shoulders.I am not sure how to remedy this. I like the harness and since I sew, I’m thinking of attaching the chest ring somewhat higher to get the leash’s swivel snap off the bone, but I also feel that the breast plate could be stabilized by adding fabric on both sides where it attaches to the straps around the neck. The combination would relocate the rub points and stiffen the outer edges of that chest plate so it didn’t bow as much. At least that’s my first impression. Some sewing and testing, and we’ll see.Overall, not a bad harness for other breeds, possibly, but for dogs with long necks and deep chests like my border collie musher, you may find issues that require adjustments not built into the design.
