Soft dog blanket
This waterproof dog blanket has soft sherpa-style fabric on both sides with a plastic layer in between. You can feel the plastic sheet if you crinkle the blanket. Our younger dog loves this blanket. We have been training her that she is only allowed on the couch if she sits on the blanket. The flower pattern stands out nicely in contrast with our couch upholstery to make the training easy. The only thing that I don’t care for is how much dog hair sticks to the fabric, even after you wash it.

Soft, stylish, and cozy waterproof pet blanket!
We have a four month old puppy who is still working on potty training in sub-zero Midwest winter, and a 3 year old dog who is prone to having an upset tummy. Being that they are both under 20 pounds, they love to lounge on the couch and I wanted something to help protect the fabric in case of accidents.This pet blanket is so warm and soft, and does not look like a cheap waterproof pad at all. I’ve even received compliments from company on how stylish our new blanket is! I ordered the large (40″ x 60″), and it is just long enough cover all three bottom cushions between the throw pillows. My dogs love it, and I can attest that it did hold up to one doggie incident. There was nothing on the couch beneath the blanket. It washes well, and you can’t even feel any stiff waterproof liner inside like some other mats. I highly recommend this blanket for pet owners or even to use with small children.

The water-proofing works
Wouldn’t you know that my dogs needed to christen this cheery little blanket the very first night? I guess it just gives me a chance to review how it worked right away – such efficient little doggies! The blanket is indeed waterproof. I didn’t notice the accident right away so it had plenty of time to soak in. When I did notice, I folded it up and took it right to the washer – the bed underneath was bone dry. I always wonder how these plush, fleecy fabrics are going to wash up, so that’s what I’m sharing in the photo. The cloth still looks cheery and the color is bright, but the fleece is a little balled up – just one star off though, since it still looks nice and cozy, just not as fuzzy.

Very soft and warm
I got the large gray blanket to put across the back of my sofa where my pets like to sleep. It’s very soft and warm and they nestled into it pretty quickly. I was curious about the waterproofing because the item is soft chenille-like fabric on both sides (gray sweater-weave style on one side and sherpa style on the other), and I don’t feel any plastic or other thick filling on the inside. The outside material may be sandwiched around the material that’s used in washable pee pads (?), but it’s not stiff or inflexible in any way. I wound up pouring a teaspoon of water on it, and the water beaded up and sat there. When I added another teaspoon, the water rolled off the blanket and onto the floor. When I dabbed the blanket with a paper towel, the fabric was slightly damp, but not wet. There was no seep through. I’m curious to see what happens if I let water sit on it on a flat surface (will it absorb) and if it behaves the same after repeated washing. As of now I can recommend this for warmth, comfort, and resistance to moisture. It’s cute, too!

Incredibly comfortble blanket
Not sure what makes this a dog blanket as it is extremely soft that the family will quickly reach for when curling up on the couch. However, the dog loves the blanket as well.Blanket arrived well packaged and went straight into the wash. After washing the blanket was still just as soft. The blanket is the ideal width and length to cover the seat portion of the couch. To my delight the blanket does not hold fur like other pet blankets we have used.Overall a great blanket that our dog loves curling up on.

Great for pets but..
Got this for our dog. It IS waterproof, but not in the usual way. Water does not roll off of the fabric, but rather wonât soak through the fabric. There is some sort of plastic layer inside of the blanket which keeps liquids from soaking through.If you just have the blanket laid down somewhere itâs not a big deal but as soon as you pick it up, you can feel the plastic inside. Itâs also fairly loud. The fabric on its own is soft and comfortable, but it does seem to pick up dirt quite easily. Washing is also easy.Iâd say that itâs worth it if youâre just covering your couch or placing it on your petâs bed, just donât use it as a blanket to cover them with.
