BARKandSPARKâs Pumpkin Powder for Dogs is Great!
The two things that I love about BARKandSPARKâS Pumpkin Powder is that pumpkin is the ONLY ingredient and that itâs very convenient.I have always added some canned pumpkin or cooked sweet potato to my Yorkieâs and my four chihuahuaâs meals because fiber is so beneficially important to their digestion. Sometimes, though, I run out of canned pumpkin and fresh sweet potatoes, so it is really nice to have the Pumpkin Powder in my cupboard as a backup to add to their meals. Of course, you can also just use the Pumpkin Powder itself on a daily basis for your dogâs fiber supplementation.I think, too, that when youâre traveling with your dog, the Pumpkin Powder would be really handy to pack along with your other dog foods because it wonât spoil since you donât have to worry about refrigerating powder.I personally add water to the Pumpkin Powder in order to make an easy-to-swallow watery paste which I then stir into my petâs foods. Several of my tiny dogs have genetic tracheal collapse issues and only weigh between 5 to 8 pounds, so I want the pumpkin to be watery so they donât choke on any of their foods. My dogs all like the taste of the Pumpkin Powder since itâs simply pumpkin. That said, I would definitely recommend the Pumpkin Powder to keep in your pantry alongside your stock of dog foods.

Does not work. Had no impact on my puppy’s drive to eat poop.
The treats are good size, smell good and my puppy loves it and gladly eats it every time! There was no negative impact on his eating or poop. That would make it seem like a 5-star product, wouldn’t it? However, the most important function of this product is to reduce poop eating, and from that perspective, it failed miserably. We got our puppy a couple days before he turned 9 weeks old, and he already arrived with a habit of eating poop. We are implementing all the recommendations from multiple experts, and were hoping this product would help achieve a change in habit. We gave it to him diligently at the same time on a daily basis for full 4 weeks without ever missing a dose on top of all other recommended measures, and saw absolutely no change in the behavior. He voraciously eat his own poop now as he did before we started him on this product. If you approach this product from a dog treat perspective, then it’s a great treat (just a bit caloric to use several time a day). But as far as poop deterring is concerned, I have to rate it a failure.

You don’t get what you pay for
I used the product for about 4 months. The product didn’t stop the poop eating but did reduce it by about 50-60%. My main complaint is that as I used the product (4 small dogs), I should have had 30-day supply out of 1 container. I kept finding an odd number of treats as the first 3 out of 4 containers were used up. In addition, it didn’t seem to last the full 30 days, but I didn’t keep track until the last container. Every day I removed 4 treats and placed one mark on the container. The count was 111 treats out of 120. I could accept being off by 1 treat, but 9 treats is absurd. Isn’t it ironic when the count is off, it’s always in the manufacturers favor?UPDATE: The manufacturer reached out to me (I never contacted them). They are so concerned about the satisfaction of all their customers. They wanted to make things right. I am so impressed; they didn’t take my review lightly. It is important to them that they produce a good product and have satisfied customer base. This is how a business should operate. Other products of theirs like the pro-biotic I’ve used are great, my dogs love them. Just that this product didn’t work on 1 of my 4 dogs who thinks poop is an after-meal desert. However, it did reduce his eagerness to consume it. I raised my review from 2 overall stars to 4-stars for the products effectiveness at reducing poop consumption, but the customer service is 5-star all the way!
Lizzy Dalrymple –
Yes & no to these chews.
Our two older dogs have a habit of eating each others stool, so we decided to give these a try. It took a couple weeks to start working, which was expected and after a while they stopped eating it. But I started to notice that one of our dogs always had a horrible smell originating from his hind end. Then I started to notice some leakage from there and constantly had to wipe his bottom. The only new thing I had been giving him were these chews so I stopped and a week later he was back to normal. These would have been great for a dog without digestive problems.

Rob Tonello –
Didn’t work well with my older dog. Refunded after reaching out. Good customer service.
HJS17 –
I have two female dogs and these treats def seem to be working. The golden doodle loves the flavor of these however the smaller dog does not. But since she is so small, he urine is not as much the problem as the big dog. So I am glad the big dogs likes them. Have repurchased
Dianne Cook –
Great product
irene Flanagan –
Yes it seems to be pumpkin.
Mike Kostuchenko –
It still seems it leaves yellow spots. Thought it would work better. Works good but not great
