Our Golden retrievers love this in warm weather
we love the art pets self cooling mats and have been using them for years. I was really excited to see one with low bolsters since our older golden prefers having something to lay his head on. They both love it and it’s held up to our 3 yr old golden pawing it and them flopping down on it. most of the time our youngest stretches out on his belly and our older on his side. It’s not long enough for them to be totally on it when they stretch out but they don’t seem to care. For reference our oldest golden is 109lbs and our younger is 84lbs so both big boys.

I bought this for my kitty because I don’t have air conditioning… and wanted to find ways to help keep her cool. As soon as I took it out of the box and put it on the floor, she laid down on it and seemed quite happy. I even tried a portion of it out… and it does feel nice and cool. So glad I bought it for her.

Update: geez, Buddy had been laying on mat for about an hour and started panting. I got up to go to bed, and he was following so I picked up mat to move in bedroom. It was HOT where he had been laying! Like a heat pad on low hot! Not good.Love that Buddy can’t push and shove it all over the room or wad it up under him! Very solid built, sturdy but has a nice cushion feel. He will never even step onto a cushioned fluffy bed, doesn’t mind stepping on this. Largest, 26×40 still almost too small for my 95lb Chow mix. I know this will be great for him to lay on in summer with the cool feel and cushioning for his old bones. Wouldn’t have anything to do with it until 9 days after it arrived. Finally laying on it. Hopefully he will learn to position himself better to be more on it. Wished they made larger!

The surface of the bed was an odd noisy fabric. The bed did not feel comfortable and neither of my dogs would go on it. I was very disappointed by the quality

My little boy is fat. He has medical issues and heâs very hot all the time he finds it difficult to get comfortable at night, and I knew he needed a little ledge to hang either his feet over or his head over so he could breathe better. He is 10 years old and heâs a long-haired Chihuahua, the hair on the bottom of his feet make him slide all over the place so I took shower floor grippers and cut them in half and stuck them on the edges so he could gain footing. Hopefully it wonât get really hot underneath him this is the medium size bed.

My dog is a generally very amiable doodle whose nails we cut regularly ie she is not sharp clawed. She scratched at the mat immediately and within 3 minutes had put this rip in it. She started nibbling at the gel which is likely toxic so had to take the may away.n Now canât find any way to patch the rip that she does not manage to pull up, in the meantime she is still clawing at the rest of the mat. Donât understand why more resilient material could not have been used. An epic $100 fail â¦

The person who developed this must not have a dog. This is not cozy or comfortable at all. The edges are plastic and not soft. My dog didnât want anything to do with it.
