A Promising Solution
I ordered these rear braces for my 6-year-old Yorkie who suffers from bilateral luxating patella. Her recent injury due to a sudden jump resulted in limping, prompting the need for additional support and stabilization for her right leg. Upon the veterinarian’s suggestion, I opted for these braces to aid her recovery.The initial impression of the Agon Dog Braces has been quite positive. They arrived promptly, and the sizing guide was helpful in choosing the right fit for my Yorkie. As described, the product boasts sturdy construction with smooth mesh and durable nylon materials. The velcro closures are robust and, importantly, have prevented my dog from attempting to remove or chew them off, which is a relief.The comfort level seems adequate; my Yorkie hasn’t displayed any discomfort while wearing them. It’s been a few days since she started using these braces, and there’s already a noticeable improvement in her movement and limping frequency. However, it’s still too early to comment on the braces’ overall effectiveness in aiding her recovery fully.What I appreciate most about these braces is their ease of use and the assurance they offer in maintaining my dog’s leg stability. The two straps per brace provide a snug fit and prevent any loosening, ensuring continuous support for the injured leg.As of now, I’m impressed with the quality and functionality of these braces. I intend to continue using them for a few more weeks as suggested by the veterinarian and will update my review to provide a comprehensive assessment of their effectiveness in aiding my Yorkie’s recovery. I measured and ordered the size suggested for my dogâs leg, however, there is not enough overlap with the Velcro so the brace pops off. If your dogâs measurement is close to the maximum size, I would advise ordering up. We definitely should have sized up. Also, I reached out to company, but never heard back, even though they sent a card with the product stating to email if you have any issues and they will correct. They donât respondâ¦Poor customer service.

The Velcro wears out very quickly. These really help my geriatric, arthritic dog get around more safely. However, within a month they donât close as well because the Velcro wears out and/or gets clogged with dog fur.

The strap is good but slides while running
Looking for the strep to help my dog to extra support while running because he has a limp. Overall a good product and stay in place while walking but when he start to run the strep will slide down.Will continue to use them for now and continue to look for another set where it can stay put while running. Got these for my elderly JRT. I really like that you get two of them. They also fit a lot better than other hock braces I have tried on him that are basically neoprene material and hook n loop tape with the same width of the brace on the top and bottom. There is no brace on those types either. These braces taper at the bottom like they should and actually have a brace in them. We lost one the second night of him wearing them outside (should have made it tighter), but one he actually does wear. I can tell it’s helping with stabilizing his back leg as he walks, and I really want to find his other one, so he can have the same stability on his other leg. Hopefully, he will allow it to be worn again once it’s found. He hates wearing anything, including a collar, but he’s continuing to wear this brace!!

Worth a try to help a Doggo with a hurt leg
Our 24 lb Shiba Inu sprained her leg hopping off the couch. I happened to see these little splints and thought one might help. I ordered size Small for her, and it fit well. When we first put it on her she threw her leg out behind her like an ice skater doing a spiral; it would have been hilarious if her leg hadn’t been hurt. After a few minutes she got used to having it on, and it did seem to stabilize her as she hobbled around. We took it off at night so she could sleep comfortably, and put it on in the daytime. After a few days, she has stopped limping. I’d say these are definitely worth a try.

My Aussie Cattle dog had a MCL repair on his rear left leg a few years ago. It sometimes bothers him and this brace fits him well.

A mà perro le sirvió muchisimo, al principio si las sentÃa raras y caminaba chistoso pero al transcurrir el dÃa ya las trae como si nada. Se ve que le sirven mucho de soporte pues ya no dobla las patas traseras como antes y camina mejor. Me gusta que se adapta a su huesito del tobillo y con los velcros se ajustan muy bien. La verdad si se los recomiendo y si lo volverÃa a comprar cuando se le desgasten.
