Pupper Approved – Money Well Spent
Our 8 month old golden retriever is super active and loves running. One morning we noticed a slight limp and realized he was favoring a back leg and trying to keep weight off his foot. After cleaning paw pads, applying paw lotion, and rubbing up and down his leg looking for any sign of injury, I took him into the vet. Tucker limped away with a diagnosis of a CCL injury and strict instructions to give him no exercise, potty only on a leash, medicate, ice and heat the area, and to generally take it easy for two weeks. Knowing we have a 65 pound, active puppy, I decided to research braces. After researching for hours, I realized this brace had the most promising reviews and was also quite reasonable in cost.I felt a bit silly bracing my puppy’s leg – not to mention, he can’t exactly tell us if it’s helping. Long story short, Tucker has taken to liking this brace to much he’ll bring it over to us and gently wait while we Velcro it on with a big smile on his face! This leads me to believe it really is helping him and he knows it too. After a week of rest, medicine, ice/heat and wearing this brace for a couple of hours here or there when activity may be necessary, Tucker is no longer limping. I’m so thankful for this tool and know it played a role in getting him back up quickly!Sizing note: he has thick, athletic legs and I was worried about sizing and whether this would fit. I purchased the XL and it has plenty of room and is a bit large in some areas, but because of the design it is no issue at all and the Velcro holds the brace tight to his leg. If in doubt, I would recommend sizing up – we did with no problems in functionality.Hair in Velcro: Being a golden, we’re used to a lot of hair everywhere, but the Velcro does collect hair. Not a problem here and causes no issues in use or discomfort – just looks a bit like it may grow legs and walk off.

Great product, worth the money and versatile!
I actually did not need it for a sprain injury, but rather to help hold bandages in place and relieve pressure and pain to a large open wound on hock…. working amazing! My bully has lick granuloma and constantly chewing and licking his paws. Having all four paws wrapped…. he proceeded to go higher up the back leg right into the bend and it was horribly deep! No bandages would stay in place from the bend in the leg and I stumbled upon this neat little brace and my dog is so happy with it on! I think it also somehow relieves the pressure on the open wound helping the pain while holding the gauze and bandages in place! Now if only they made a bull dog proof Elizabethan cone to stop future wounds lol! If you are hesitant about this product, but it! It works for many purposes and it is true to size. My bully is a 60 pound red nose and the medium fits well even with the thick bandages.

I will to make an adjust to this
It fit my dogs leg, which is very skinny. However, the Velcro straps are very short and do not cover the entire Velcro area. Without the entire Velcro being covered, my dog was stuck to the carpet and couldnât get up. Otherwise I think the product is made well. The straps should be long so the consumer can cut them to the necessary length.UPDATE. I have a three legged, older dog. Her back end started collapsing. This brace is helping to support her hind end and Iâve noticed less collapsing. I take it off at night to try to avoid any irritation on her leg.I added pieces of Velcro to cover up the exposed Velcro on the brace that was causing problems by sticking to the floor, blankets, etc. that has worked out great. They need to redesign this with a longer strap that can be cut to the needed length by the consumer.

Helped my 10 lbs poodle get better.
I have a 10 lbs poodle mix who apparently thinks she can fly (she’d climb as high as she could and then just throw herself down) or maybe she’s just too dumb. We try to be careful but sometimes we leave her outside unsupervised so that she can enjoy the sun and the fresh air and one day when I went to open the door to let her back in she was limping; I immediately checked her back leg to see if she had a thorn or something and there was nothing, when I moved her leg around she didn’t complain and everything seemed fine, she just wouldn’t put her foot on the ground. We let her be for a couple of days and she would still walk and run without using her back leg so I started reading about what could be causing this (because of the pandemic non emergency vet appointments were taking a long time) and saw some posts online about how a leg brace could help. There are many options but I decided to try this one because it seemed it could fit her best (she has very short/thin legs) and it is reasonably priced. When we got it I put it on and she didn’t complain or anything (trying to bite it or remove it) and even though she was still lifting the foot when walking she could now put more pressure on the leg. After a couple of days of use she finally started walking using the leg and would only lift it when she ran but she was able to stand on both back legs again without a problem and push herself on the floor. After using the brace for a couple of weeks her issue went away and now she’s back to normal but it seems the experience helped her to be more careful and now she doesn’t jump from high places as carelessly as before.

It appears to help
My 12 year old pup had had the splint on for the past 5 days. She hasnât attempted to remodel it, and she walks with greater confidence.

Amazing
I had so much doubt in this product with all the mixed reviews, but my dog suffered from a sprain in her back leg from chasing a squirrel, she wouldn’t put ANY pressure on her leg and just layed for days. We had to pick her up and take her outside where she wouldn’t even get up to go to the bathroom. It was rough so we decided to try these. We bought 2 of them one for each back leg and she was like a new dog! Walking by herself going to bathroom, she’s still limping a little bit she can now get around! My only complaint is the Velcro, the Velcro goes all the way around so when u strap it there’s a lot of Velcro showing causing everything to stick to it and causing it to be harder for her to get up when she is stuck to blankets! I feel like when you measure it should be a lot more towards the size where there wouldn’t be so much Velcro showing
