Heat Reflective pads that really work!
These really work. I have them in all my cats beds (4) under just one thin layer of cloth that I cover each bed with. I am amazed at the total heat in the bed when she gets up. They work so well I bought another pack.ðð»

Good little pad to help the outdoor cats
I bought these to place in our little out door space for the outdoor cats for the winter. They seem to like them as I have seen them curled up on them. They are soft and have no smell when they came out of the package, so that’s good, the cats weren’t afraid of them and laid right on them.

This is the actual so called âpadâ inside. Not at all like the picture! Fortunately I have old pillows that I took apart & stuffed the cat beds with pillow insert. I just used one pillow as it filled all 4 beds.

Itâs flimsy and it doesnât warm anything
Might as well use my comforter, itâs thicker and better at warming is than these flimsy pads. I thought it was actually going to have a warming mechanism. Itâs thin, flimsy and it does absolutely nothing. My cats donât even care to go on it. Dissatisfied ð£

It’s a mat, not a “bed”
I think it’s a stretch to call this a “bed”- it’s not a bed or mattress, as there is nothing cushy about it- it’s a mat or thin “rug” that has soft plush gray textured fabric on one side, & a black crinkly (yes it does make a little noise!) fabric on the back with little dots that don’t really prevent sliding. I hesitated to rate this for being chew-proof, as almost nothing ever is for a determined pet. My dogs don’t chew their beds, & I’m not going to try it either (haha), but I find it unlikely that a dedicated “chewer” could not succeed, even though it feels fairly sturdy for what it is. This does best in the “easy to clean” category, as the cover zips off for washing, & it reveals a layer of quilted polyester fiber bonded to a thin silvery heat reflecting foil- it’s better than nothing for keeping a pet warm, but not like some real insulation would be for comfort as well as warmth. I see these as a useful top layer over my dogs’ actual beds- as my 17 year old has started having incontinence issues now & then. I don’t see this one mentioning “waterproof” though- I was recently so happy that a new “waterproof” bed that he messed up overnight was not actually ruined- the washable cover came off (along with the nasty) but the inside, a deeply padded mattress, was unsoiled. Back to this product, it’s nice that it’s a 4-pack for smaller pets, but if I were offering this as a bed, I’d open the zipper & add a nice layer of foam rubber or other padding under the existing layer that offers no cushy feel at all as it is. Just saying. OR, this could be used as a light “blanket” overtop your sleeping pet to help keep them warm. My dogs are family & I treat them as such. Mine are both elderly, & both short-haired, & if I don’t provide them a blanket to snuggle under, they dig under anything they’ve got- I’ve seen them flip their dog beds over onto themselves when I’ve temporarily taken up their blankets to wash. So if you find your dog doing damage from “digging” at furniture, this might be what he’s trying to tell you.

Haven’t Quite Warmed Up Yet
My feline overlords have yet to complete a formal review of these warming cat beds. They are typically cautious, and nosy, at the same time. Right now, cautious is winning.The “fabric” is thin and flimsy. Probably will not last under regular waking up, stretching, and claw scratching as cats do. It does have a decent insulating insert, complete with what appears to be a heat reflective side. It zips inside the exterior “envelope.” I like this.The cost for four is questionable. The flimsy fabric, not so great sewing holding it together, and well-known behaviors of scratching animals (Meow!!) may mean an early death. Not sure how it they would hold up in a normal wash.We have several other cat beds, varying in design, quality, and warmth. All of them pass the real feline tests. Not these. You can find better quality elsewhere, especially at this price point.Two stars.
