THey’re an appropriate size for a dog. They don’t shed cotton. Honestly a good choice for cleaning your pets ears.

These long cotton swabs are excellent quality. They come in a plastic storage box, which is super convenient. They do not fall apart when wet, like most cotton swabs, these are heavy duty.

Useful for Cleaning
I ordered these cotton swabs to use for household cleaning chores. Sometimes my cleaning tasks lead me to need a cotton swab to clean in little hard to reach places, but the name brand I use tends to bend and fall apart fairly quickly when they get wet or are being used with any kind of force. These cotton swabs completely solve any issues I normally have. The wooden stick is long enough to reach in hard to get to areas and is much, much sturdier than the brand I typically use. While my go to brand is still great for cosmetic purposes, I will be keeping these in my cleaning caddy and they will be my go to for household chores.

Cushy cotton swabs get the job done!
These cotton swabs are great quality with a nice case! The cotton is generous, well cushioned and didnât fall apart during use; well-attached to the stick base. The cotton head is larger than the average swab used in vets offices so may not be a good size for small dogs or felines.Important Note: Always use caution if using cotton swabs in your petâs ear! Be very gentle and dampen the cotton with appropriate cleaner. In general, we (in veterinary med) do not recommend clients use cotton swabs aka q-tips to clean their pets ears. Do not insert into ear canal. Do not use alcohol or peroxide with cotton swabs in ears.

Great for human ears, too!
I got these because we foster dogs and sometimes they get really cruddy ears that need to be cleaned out. Some don’t mind a good ear cleaning, and some, not so much. That’s why it’s really important to have a long handled, large cotton swab to get down into the ears without going all the way down near their eardrum. I would say that these swabs are about medium size. The ones we have now are much larger, and can only go down so far into the dog’s ear. These are a nice compromise as far as cotton swabs go. They are large enough to get into all of a dog’s ear crevices. What I really like about them is that they also work great on human ears as well. Regular cotton swabs, in my opinion, are too small. You can easily push too far into your ear with them and cause damage. These cotton tips are larger, and make you have to stop before you get anywhere near your eardrum. When these came in, my spouse immediately grabbed a handful and put them in his bathroom for his own personal use. He loves them.

Not just for dogs
These swabs live in our toolbox, where we break them out for cleaning all kinds of things: crevices in the microwave, delicate machine parts, etc. The wooden handles hold up much better than flimsy Q-tips, and the cotton part is substantial enough to do the job. The price, 8 cents each at the time of this review, is a little high; but I’m assuming that’s due to the included plastic box. Frankly, I’d prefer more swabs and less packaging.
