Works as advertised
The product is exactly as advertised, although the cat doesn’t always lie on it. I decided to sit on it myself on days when it’s really hot. Would recommend it for animals or humans.

I knew they would be heavy with water in them, but I expected them to at least provide some cooling. They did not.

This cooling mat for pets by MeiLiMiYu is so amazing that my kids have stolen it from our kitty to use for themselves! It is thick enough to lay flat on any surface and will not crumple on a bed or sofa!It looks exactly like the photos do – reflect sunlight on rippling water in a swimming pool – and is completely waterproof (unless you fail to secure the sealing plug and the cover!) yet feels cool to the touch!Very nicely made and does exactly what itâs supposed to!

I’m just not sure it’s worth it for indoor use
I ordered this product because I have 3 furbabies. Two dogs and one cat, and they are spoiled with the the best I can provide them with. It has been so hot and humid where we live this summer, so I thought this mat may be beneficial. I’m not sure what I was expecting exactly, but I was just very unimpressed with this product.For one, maybe it’s because I chose the larger one, but it is very awkward to fill with water, to begin with. And the material on the inside, when I filled it up, seemed to get bunched up or pushed away from one area. So there was a bulge inside it where I could feel the material had moved out of place. I’m not sure what it is exactly or how to remedy that.Second, once you put the water in it, it’s very awkward trying to move it and lay it down. So if you get this product, if possible, I would recommend that you fill it up while it’s laying flat, in whatever spot you want it to be at. If you have a pet that spends a lot of time outside during the day, this would be better suited to you. Mine are inside all day, and therefore this product just took up space as an uneeded object in my home. Outdoors, I expect that dogs and cats would love to lounge around on it. So that is what I recommend. For pets that spend plenty of time outside this summer, I’m sure it will be appreciated and well used. Not so much if they spend most of their time inside.A quick additional note. About a week after I filled it and put it down for my pets, it started leaking. At first, I thought I had not tightened the cap enough. It turned out that somehow, it had a small hole busted in it along the side/edge of the mat. Since I can only guess what may have happened, I think either my cat scratched or bit it, my pup chewed on it, or a mystery person in my household stepped on it (or jumped or played on it). So keep that in mind, monitor any destructive antics ð.
