We’ve been having a heat wave and my poor Frenchie was having a hard time. Once I put this on him, he seemed less anxious and didn’t pant as much. Being curious, I tried it on myself. It’s not a huge difference but does keep cool whatever area you put it on. It doesn’t feel drippy or clammy and it doesn’t stick to your skin like a wet towel.At first, I though it was a dud. The bandana was flat and it felt like there was only a tiny amount of beads inside, like 2 inches worth. I let it soak in a bowl of water and a few minutes later, it crazy expanded. The beads turned into a gel that filled a long section. Plus it stays in the gel form for a long time. Most of it was still gel the next day.The bandana is 40″ x 2″. The channel that holds the beads/gel is 15″. My dog has a 16″ neck and there is a 3-4″ section w/o gel, where i tie it. My neck is 13″. The gel fully encircles my neck with extra breathing/moving room.The bandana feels like 100% cotton with no stretch. It felt stiff at first but gott softer after wetting. It is sewn closed all the way around. Not the neatest stitching and there were some extra thread, but no rips or leaks of any kind.Planning to get a few more for our doggy friends.

Originally bought for my dog but then tied it around my neck and decided my nieces and I would love these when they are over and we need some relief from the hot So Cal summer! â¦Came back for more!

One of the two bandanas one was âemptyâ and had no cooling beads
These feel like they are full of some kind of gel beads, each maybe double or triple the size of a pin head. They are essentially fabric tubes that have the beads sewn inside that can be tied around your dogâs neck. Unfortunately, one of the bandanas was about half full of beads which means it probably has a few hundred which is not great for at cold retention â at only half full there arenât enough and they are too spread out to retain thermal mass. However, the other had maybe 5-10 beads total. It was for all intents and purposes just a strip of fabric.
