GREAT!!!!!!!!!! WORKED IMMEDIATELY
Bought this for our chocolate lab for two reasons: she had a hot spot on her lower neck that she kept scratching and was very difficult to heal, and she has anxiety/fear issues. This vest/coat wrap totally covers the area where she has the hot spot, which will help it heal. Also, we immediately noticed she was much calmer and more relaxed with the vest on. It’s not too hot at all – although it’s a very solid, thick material. It’s like our dog is wearing a “hug.” Highly recommend.

It can be helpful but haven’t got to use it much because you can’t use this while it’s still hot… it finally cooled enough to use it one morning …. but still not cool enough consistently here in south.

Fit is tricky, hard to pull over head, hood is too small, neck is tight, body fits well
I will preface this review by saying that I’ve been working with animals and in the veterinary field for over 50 years. I currently have four small breed dogs but have owned large breed dogs and other animals for years. Two of my four dogs are very afraid of thunder and loud noises. One of them already has a special brand name coat to wear during storms. My younger one was in need of a coat so I decided to try this one for him. He weighs ten pounds but measured right between the size extra small and small so according to the directions on the ad, I went up a size and got him the small. It’s a good thing I went up a size because he just barely fit in the small. The neck is enclosed and requires that you pull it over their heads. Many dogs do NOT like things being pulled over their heads and the neck on this was very tight on him. It was like pulling a turtle neck sweater over his head. The body fit him well and the length was just about right. The hood was way too short and just barely went up to the top of his head. I ended up just rolling it down and keeping it like a turtle neck on him. The body part has very secure velcro straps that hold it in place. They are so strong that I actually had a hard time getting them apart to take it off. Once I went to remove it, I had to pull it over his head again and the neck part is very snug. He hated having to have it pulled over his head. The body part worked well and kept him feeling snug and secure. But the neck part was way to tight and small and he really objected to having it pulled over his head each time. This would have been a good coat if it didn’t have the hood part with the neck involved. I wouldn’t buy this style again.
