A Miracle in a Can! Worked After 3 Servings!
My 14-year-old pitbull started to wake up in the middle of the night (between 2am-4am) with bouts of diarrhea when previously she’d been able to sleep straight through the night with no issue. I ordered this product because I liked that it was in powder form and that the ingredients were simple and straightforward. As someone who previously used pumpkin for a different senior dog, I also know that buying the cans from the grocery store simply isn’t sustainable given pumpkin puree’s short life in the fridge.I started giving this to my dog, Luna, on Wednesday morning. I followed the directions and gave her two scoops of powder along with two scoops of water. I applied the powder onto her food and then would add the water and then stir everything together into a nice puree. First of all, she absolutely devoured her meal. She’s been a great eater lately now that I give her ground turkey along with her canned food, but I’ve never seen her gobble down her food like this before, so that made me happy to see because it told me she enjoyed the taste. So if your dog is a picky eater, this might be a great food topper for them!Anyway, her first serving was Wednesday morning. Friday night – she slept peacefully straight through the night without a single disturbance! So after just three servings (I gave it to her once a day with her morning meal), she was feeling great! I was blown away by the product’s effectiveness and can only say it’s truly a miracle in a can. I’ll most likely get the bigger 16 ounce can moving forward to save money since I plan on keeping this in her diet. One thing I will say – make sure your dog drinks a lot of water if they’re not having a bowel movement initially. This will help them pass stool. As will an extra walk during the day. Luna wasn’t passing stool initially and I at first thought the pumpkin powder had made her constipated somehow, but I added a walk to her routine on Saturday morning (the day after her first all-night sleep), and she easily passed a perfect stool within minutes. So make sure that you help move the bowels so that your dog can pass what’s in there once the powder has started working.Oh! And one more thing – the can comes with its own scooper! I was so surprised to see this because the company could’ve easily cut costs by making people use their own measuring scoop. I was really touched by this gesture; it showed just how much the company cared about customer experience. The scoop is perfectly labeled with the appropriate measurements so that you know exactly how much to give your dog, and it’s been so helpful and convenient to have it.Thank you, Native Pet for creating wonderful products that help us take great care of our fur babies! I’ll definitely be a repeat customer.

My dogs will SPRINT when they see this come out
They LOVE this pumpkin. Added BONUS if your dog eats turds it makes them putrid so they wonât, helps if youâre switching your dogs food so they donât get diarrhea due to the fiber content in pumpkin, has also tricked my dog into consuming his medicine. Love that it comes in powder so I can mix with water and choose the firmness / thickness of the mixture. Great quality. Dogs love it. Whatâs not to like?

Works to an extent
My dog has been having a very hard time with bowel movements. She fluctuates between constipation and diarrhea though mostly constipation and often strains for awhile just to have a small BM. This pumpkin powder was one of the items I tried to see if it would help soften her stool (also tried stool softener called stool ease but feels like that pushes her to diarrhea).I think it has been helping. She is about 14lbs and we started out giving her 1 teaspoons’ worth daily. We mixed the powder directly into her wet food (pate consistency) instead of mixing separately with water and she eats it all. Bowel movements seem a bit easier for her now and stools are not as hard. Best of all, it does not push her to the diarrhea extreme. This also came with a scooper/spoon that I only recently discovered when it emerged from the bottom of the can after we were about halfway through. So FYI, a scooper exists; dig it out to use when you first open the can! Since finding it, I have increased her portion to half of the scooper twice a day.As for the taste…. I’m always amused when I have to give a star rating to the flavor of dog food. Technically this is just pumpkin powder but I did not taste it for myself. It doesn’t smell too much like pumpkin but not really an unpleasant odor. We tried canned pumpkin in the past but my dog refused to eat anything that the pureed pumpkin touch so this flavor must be good/better?All in all, I think this helps enough with constipation without causing diarrhea that I will continue to use it.

My dogs approve
Iâve been using canned purée, but my dogs werenât constantly eating the pumpkin. This gets mixed with a little coconut oil, mixed with their food and they eat it every time. Will continue to purchase.

Canât live without it!
I use this dried pumpkin whenever my dogâs poop gets soft. My dog loves it! When I sprinkle it on his food he gobbles it up. Works great AND (apparently) tastes great!

Poor design
A container comes with a little metal tray on top. The tray is to put the little tiny scooper in. Probably so it won’t get lost. The scooper has a round end and the bottom of the can is square. The scooper is really short and the can is deep. Virtually impossible to scoop the last of it out unless you use your fingertips to hold the scooper. What they should do is eliminate the metal tray and make a scooper with a longer handle and a square scoop. That will probably be cheaper than the metal insert. Longer handle means you won’t lose the scooper in the dust and to be able to scoop it to the last bit. I bet it’s cheaper in the end. It certainly is better for the end user. Everything is good about this but somebody didn’t think through the container spoon combination.
