Great lick mat and good slow feeder
My dog eats her dinner in 30 seconds or less when she eats out of a regular bowl. So, slow feeders are a must for her. We’ve tried plastic slow feeders, but if she starts to chew on them at all they just break into pieces. Ceramic feeders aren’t bad, but I can hear her teeth clanging against the bowl when she eats from one. This silicon bowl is a nice middle ground. It’s held up when she’s happened to chew on it after meals, but it’s a softer material than ceramic and nicer on the teeth.I also really like how the bowl doubles as a lick mat. It also makes it easy to turn mealtime into an enrichment opportunity. You can fill the bowl with kibble like you normally would but add some water and freeze it and your pup will have an extra challenge. It took my dog a whole lot longer to eat a frozen meal (close to 15 or 20 minutes) compared to a regular one.The ridges on the bowl aren’t very high, so if you have a larger dog some of the food will end up pilling up above the ridges so it might not work quite as well as a normal slow feeder. Also, the suction cup on the bottom of the bowl isn’t super powerful, but it’s enough to keep the bowl from sliding everywhere when my dog is eating from it. If you’re thinking about purchasing this bowl, I think that the versatility of this product is something to consider. It’s nice to have something that can be used as a regular bowl for dry dog food or can be used as a frozen enrichment bowl that will keep your pup entertained.

Great bowl, doesn’t slow down toy dogs
This slow feeder dog bowl has a robust design that feels like it will last a long time. The suction cup base is a great featureâit covers the entire bottom of the bowl and sticks securely to the floor, preventing it from sliding around during mealtime. I also appreciate the two different textures designed to hide food, adding a bit of variety to the challenge.However, as a toy Maltipoo owner, Iâve noticed that this bowl doesnât quite do the job I hoped for. My dogâs small tongue can still easily get the food out, so it only slows him down a little bit. While this might work better for larger dogs, itâs not as effective for toy breeds.Overall, itâs a well-made product with strong suction, but it may not be challenging enough for smaller dogs like mine.

I got this for my Golden Retriever puppy who keeps inhaling her food and kicking her bowl around. This has a nice strong suction cup underneath which keeps it in place pretty well. The only problem is that it doesn’t hold a ton of food, so there is an upper limit on the size of dog it would work well for unless you are feeding 3+ times per day, but it’d be great for dogs that don’t eat a ton of food (>1 cup) in a single sitting. It would also work really well for wet food since it would take a bit of time to lick out all of the crevices.

shiba inu approved slow feeder
Have a shiba inu that inhales food when feeding her in a regular bowl.Was using slow feeders from another brand that are hard plastic and was happy with them except for they were hard to handwash and took up a lot of room in the dishwasher.The silicone slow feeder is so easy to clean both by hand and in diwhwasher. It’s easy to fill and with the suction cup on the bottom, my dog can’t flip the dish over or move it at all.Definite must buy for any dog owner that has a dog that eats too fast. This is a great upgrade over my old plastic bowls and I intend to buy more of them.
