Fits securely
I bought these because my dog had surgery on her rear paw. before I let her go outside, I put one of the shoes on her paw to protect her wound from the elements. It was easy to put over her her paw, and it was very secure.

I wanted to give them 5 stars but sadly they are not really water proof. My dog was playing in the snow and his paws got super wet.They also come off every now and again, nothing is perfect but I have to really put them on tight for them to really stay on.For a hot day these might work best not great for winter or rain.

Not anti-slip
So excited to get these for our 2 Scotties. They are supposed to be warm, non-slip coverings to protect their feet against the cold weather. It is winter here. The non-slip sole is so stiff and slippery in the cold weather that both dogs were slipping and falling constantly. If not for that, we would have been happy. They stay on, the velcro is good, the reflective detail is an excellent idea, the fit is as specified – one dog has smaller feet and the sizes were right. They are short going up the leg though – the elasticized top is catching their dew claw. Had to return due to the non-slip being a hazard.

Wonderful, but not the best quality.
Many different stages to go through. First I was elated to have something to protect my pupperâs feet. Then came hilarity looking at him do his first funny steps. This was followed by a calm complacency that lasted for a couple of weeks, happy to have them while wondering if they were working.You see, his feet were soaked after every walk, even though there was no water on the ground⦠just snow.It all ended with severe disappointment and frustration when the seams on all four feet started quickly unraveling after less than 2 weeks. After the seams ripped⦠his feet would be even more soaked, with large lumps of snow stuck inside his boots after every single walk.Since I bought the booties to protect his feet from salt, this rendered this product completely useless. I stopped using them and went back to washing his feet after every walk.Definitely donât waste your money. Had this happened to only one boot, a case could be made for faulty product. Since it happened to all four feet in around the same time frame, this means it is either a materials or a design issue.

Pups able to wear then in rain, ice, and low levels of snow
My pups have been using the balloon like booties for rain/ice/snow. I’ve been looking all over for booties that they’ll tolerate wearing and can give them more insulation or protect them from extreme temps. The balloon booties do well to keep them from getting stuff/ice/snow stuck between their paws; however, they do not help keep their paws warm. These booties are slightly thicker than the usual balloon booties. the first time we put them on, we made sure they knew they can walk in them with treats. once they saw treats coming out, they forgot those booties were even on. Once they got past that, they were completely fine with the booties. They keep their paws relatively warm, they don’t feel cold when i take them off and touch their paws, after going out in the ice/snow for a potty break. I do not think they will work for areas where there are high levels of snow like more then 2-3 inches of snow, cause i cannot tell if the snow would fall into the booties as they do not go up their legs very high. Otherwise, these are great! I absolutely love them. We’ve tried other really thicker booties that are made for snow and they are not malleable enough for the pups to feel comfortable walking in them. I couldn’t get them to walk in them, so i got these. Just right for our weather in the south.

Way too stiff and large for a small dog, and I ordered the smallest size. I don’t know how they hold up in the ice and snow because my dog would NOT wear them. I put them on her and she refused to move.

These are perfect for my Rottweiler. I ordered to protect her feet from ice. We live where it snows 8 months out of the year. There is ONE paw sleeve that slides when she walks, so the bottom grip rotates until it is sideways or on top of her paw and when that happens I have to adjust it. It’s no big deal, for the price, we are very happy and puppies feet are protected!!!

I gave this product a 4 star because the laughter it provided me is worth it. The quality (durability) may or may not be what you expect. For instance, my dog has damaged the product on the second d day of use. It was during a snow day as well. One of her nail punctured the rubber sole from what I assume was from the effort of her trying to use her nail for traction. The price is affordable. I have a medium sized Pitbull, no more than 50 lbs, at most 45. I purchased the larger size. So, it could work different for other breeds. Another issue I’d like to share is that the booties rotate on her paw.
