In 2024, Pedro Inojosa and his partner Camilo Doumat founded the Daphinx brand, inspired by their love for their dog Capitán which means Captain in English, and their cat Felipe. Capitán, a Golden Retriever of Canadian descent and born in Indiana, was named after Pedro’s former profession as an airplane pilot. Felipe, the cat, completed this endearing duo. Both animals became the main models of the brand, appearing in all the photos
with the products they sell.
Because the name Capitán is very general and cannot be registered, Pedro came up with a unique name for the brand, combining two iconic breeds of dogs and cats: the Daschund and the Sphinx. This is how Daphinx was born, a brand full of meaning and love for the pets that inspired its creation.

Harley Loves Them So We Love Them!
Our Harley is a real jerk about having his feet touched. He also has a paw licking issue which we’re trying to diagnose and fix. He also takes a long time to find the perfect spot to do his business outside, and we’ve had snow and ice for the last 2 weeks. These dog booties, so far, have solved ALL that. I guess he likes the soft material on his paws, because he doesn’t give us too much gruff about putting them on. There’s an anti-slip paw print on the top and bottom of the boot, so no matter which way he comes at them he doesn’t want to like them. And you can clearly see he can walk better on the ice and in the snow. Far better than bare paws on snow/ice, but they do get wet, so the warmth factor is short lived, and you need to dry them out in between uses. I can’t wait to see how they work in the summer on hot concrete/asphalt. Overall, Harley loves these, so we do, too! At $18 for a set of 4, 4 stars all the way.

These Actually Might Work!
I have no videos. You wouldn’t want to see them. Our old, chubby Beagle was rescued ten years ago and is the “princess” of the house. If we touch her feet, she jerks away, so this was always going to be a trial. By using a treat, and my husband’s help, I was able to get one shoe on, which she immediately tried to take off. Once the wrestling match was over and all four paws protected, we mentioned “walk” and she got excited about going out. Harness on, coat on, ready to go. Her first steps were high stepping, but she seemed to get used to the shoes and trotted down the sidewalk into the snow. We want these to work, and hope they do because it’s snowing again and temps are dropping to sub-zero. If her feet get cold, she has to be carried into the house, which is never fun, and dangerous when it’s icy. Also hopeful so it protects her feet from road salt in winter and hot sidewalks in summer. Just need some luck and persistence.

Tricky to get on if your dog doesnât like his paw touched
These could be effective to get your dog to stop licking his paws, but my dog (who is very sensitive about his paws) ended up fighting us quite a bit when we put them on his front paws and his feet did slip with them on our hardwood floors

Grippy socks for my Chow girl vs. hardwood floors
Nice grippy socks for my senior Chow chow. We have hardwood floors and I need to put carpet runners all over the house for our 2 seniors. Its great that the grippy parts are on both sides of the sock, so if the sock happens to turn on her paw, it would still work for her. Gives her traction she needs to get up and down. Only ½ star off for sizing. I got a Large and it is still tight on her feet. She’s only 60 lbs but has very fat mitts. So I don’t know if the Large size would work if you have a Giant breed, say a Newfoundland or St Bernard. I’ve put them in the washing machine, and just hung them on a little hanger to dry. All in all, a very nice product that works well!

Fit my Labrador great
Previously when my dog’s feet needed to be covered so she would not scratch herself, I took a kid’s sock and velcro and used that. It worked okay but in time got messes up. I saw these and they are great. They fit my dog’s paws really well. The velcro is already attached. The socks wash up easily (I do them by hand). The “paws” have grippers on both sides so real easy to fit on the dog. Great value. My dog is a lab/terrier mix and the medium fit her fine. I think large would work too but I did the size according to the measurements the seller provided. My dog does not wear these constantly…it is on an as needed basis.

Nice material and good grips but the large size seems a little small
The Daphinx dog socks seem to made out of pretty sturdy material. The grippies do grip slippery surfaces well and the material allows for a pretty easy slip on to my dog’s paws. The velcro does a great job holding the socks in place. My only issue is our dog’s paws falls slightly smaller than the large sock size (his is 2.75 inches), but the sock is actually a little tight on his paws. They still go on but I wouldn’t keep them on for too long. Other than sizing I think these are well made dog socks.

Fits well, but otherwise misses the mark
I would describe these “dog shoes” more as dog socks. I got these in advance of the below freezing weather we were having, because last time it was this cold her paws were real sad. The advertising on these said it would protect paws in any situation, with specifically snow and road salt listed. With that said, I was a bit disappointed. These could possibly work for short outings when it was cold if there was no moisture, but with snow these immediately got quite wet (entirely defeating the point). With that said, they fit decently and were easy to put on (I followed the size chart, they fit well but were a little big as expected, since my dog was between a small and medium). They stayed on fine when not in the snow, but in the snow one did fall off. I honestly think these would be fine for protecting from hot pavement, or the cold if there was no moisture, but these are definitely not as versatile as they advertise. In addition, the grips on them look real funky, and are really on two sides rather than all the way around. Overall, they do fit and I can get them on, which is more than I can say about other dog “shoes” I’ve tried, but they don’t quite hit the mark.

Perfect
The weather here in NW Pennsylvania has Ben extremely cold this winter. My little Shintzuâs paws Willy get so cold & painful when he would go outside to pee. He would cry and limp.These are a Godsend. They keep his feet warm and they dry quickly. So glad I found these.
