2 thumbs up from me 4 paws from the Daisy the dog.
Got this for my 11 year old rescued pitbull. I already had another brand an extra long bi-fold model made of aluminum. I used to use the aluminum one for my old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. It worked well for the dogs and fit into the back of my 4X4 Chevy truck. It was sturdy but heavy and getting it folded and stowed in the truck became more and more of a chore. Fortunately my old dog passed away, before I did, from wrestling that heavy ramp. I stopped using the ramp since my pitbull could get into the trucks front cab with me. When I sold the truck and got a jeep wrangler, it became a challenge for my dog to get into the Jeep. My old ramp would not fit into the new car so I started looking for something easier to manage that took up less space and was usable for my critter. I narrowed down the choices to the tri-fold one with carpet and the other without. The one with the sandy surface was similar to the older ramp. None of my dogs had a problem with the sandy traction surface so I got it. I really like how small the tri-fold packed up and how easy it was to fold/unfold. It fits well in the Jeep and although it has a steeper slope when set up than my old extra long one, it works great. Although my dog had never used a ramp, a string cheese stick and the desire to “go for ride” got her up and down the ramp in two tries. She could jump into the Jeep but jumping out was getting to be a challenge and like my dog (getting old), I was also finding it a challenge to lift her down out of the Jeep. She seems to really enjoy the ramp and I know the stress of in and out of the Jeep is greatly reduced for both of us. The surface of the ramp is getting scratched by her toenails from her first tries using the ramp but now she knows the routine there has been no further significant wear. It is a lightweight ramp but seems to be very sturdy in use. I still am working on the most efficient way to fold/unfold it while hanging on to the dogs leash.

Great design but be aware of load limit
Well designed, collapsible and light weight. Built in carrying handle slot is very convenient. Great for small pets to get in and out of a low opening such as a car or SUV. It is rather short in length which makes it too steep for use in a full size pickup truck bed. Additionally, the safety cord and hook at the top is too short to connect to anything as it only reaches about halfway across my truck tailgate. Youâll need to extend that cord or have another person hold it to secure it. We have a growing St. Bernard pup that is already about 100lbs at 8 months and she just about collapsed it climbing up it the first use.I was able to use it to drag my 90lb portable generator into my truck bed but as I weigh close to 200lbs, I canât walk up it. One person in the bed and another walking along side of it got the job done. All in all itâs a great product for small pets. But unless you are petite and not carrying much at all, it doesnât work well as a loading ramp or for larger animals. Canât knock the product as it does clearly list the load limits and for those light items or pets, it gets the job done well and stores compact.

Very sturdy ramp
Sturdy ramp and the dogs like to use it. I use it to help the dogs climb up onto a grooming table. They seem comfortable with it. It’s very lightweight and easy to store.

I would not recommend this ramp for dogs over perhaps 70-80lbs at the most. We have a ~140lb Great Dane mix and the ramp buckles under his weight. The ramp was purchased specifically because it stated it was good for up to 200lbs. We have used the ramp to help our larger dog get into our SUV via the back which is perhaps 3 feet off the ground. Our smaller dog, 60lbs, can use the ramp without problems (no buckling). The ramp is coated with a sandpaper type material and he has already scratched this off after only a few uses. We are contemplating adding our own carpeting to the ramp or purchasing something different. The ramp itself is relatively light weight (made of plastic), a little cumbersome to unfold if you are by yourself and holding onto a dog or two, but not bad. It does take up a bit more space than I anticipated, but again, that is not a problem. I think this is a good product, but not for a large dog.

Heavy duty, but easy to fold and set up
We got this to be a permanent ramp from the porch window to the yard. The cat thinks it is the best thing. It attaches to the cat shelf and allows her to go up and down easily, without landing on the plants under the window. She used to stand in the window and have a fit if she saw anyone out in the yard and wouldn’t quit until you went over to the window and picked her up. Now that she has the ramp, she has quit doing that. The window slides sideways to open, so I used 2 locker shelves I had and straddled them over the window sill and put a rug on top of it. The ramp has a clip on the top end of the ramp, so I just clipped it to the locker shelf as tight as I could. It is sturdy and works very well.

If I could rate it 4 1/2 I would but decided on 5 stars. Lightweight, easy to use. It’s a little wobbly, however, the dogs were not worried at all. I had nothing to attach the added securing latch to and it would have been better if it was longer, allowing for more options to hook it onto something. Also, the sandpaper coating did not thrill the dogs. I think it would have been better to do strips of the material rather than the whole surface. A few pieces of cheese and encouragement, helped our dogs use it! Easy to fold! and store in the back of the truck. I have a Toyota Tacoma. Attached is a picture of the ramp on the truck.
