That the heart is useless for what it is made for, but the lamb is a perfect toy !
The size & quality of item is outstanding! It is my puppy’s favorite toy. The size makes it perfect for him to sleep with. The heart unit is not at all useful, too small to matter & too hard to put on. I removed it for safety purposes.

If the heart worked upon delivery, this would’ve been a five star review
My only issue with this item was that the heart didn’t work upon delivery. It took me several days to be able to remove the plastic battery comportment cover that was wedged on so tightly that I was worried I’d crack the plastic. Once the covered was able to be removed and batteries replaced, the toy was an absolute blessing to my 10 day old singleton foster kitten. While left to run 24/7 for optimal companionship, the batteries lasted for 11 days which was fine by me. I wish they had a slightly smaller option for neonatal kittens but beggars can’t be choosers. This toy did exactly what it was intended to do – provided my solo foster kitten with the comfort of the beating heart and companionship in-between feedings and cuddle sessions. I would recommend this item to others – in fact, I already have!

Smaller Size, Higher Price
I have a 2.5 year old dachshund. Like many people, I was recommended to get this for him because he could not handle being crated alone at night or when home alone. To this day, this is his security toy. He nurses in the ear, and he snuggles. He loves the texture and size of it and he carries it everywhere. When he’s over tired, he NEEDS his lambie. He is a dog, and obviously rough houses with it with his friends. Therefore, I am a FREQUENT re-purchaser. I think we’re on our 6th or 7th lambie in his life – it’s the only toy he must have.I’ve noticed the price has been steadily rising over the years. But again, it’s a necessity for him, so not a big deal. However, today we got our new lambie and…. Well, it looks like an imposter. Much smaller, he won’t be able to cuddle the way he likes, and I’m just hoping he takes to the new ear and head size.I see there’s a warning on here that it’s a frequently returned item, so I’m putting this review as a long time lambie buyer mainly to say the price is going up while the lambie is getting smaller. If there are any other frequent lambie replacers… fair warning, you’ll be disappointed when a much smaller lambie is delivered stuffed inside of a box instead of what we’re used to. It may not be much of a difference now, but it’s noticeable, especially when it’s a security item for babies or dogs with anxiety.

Puppy’s first love
I bought this for my dog when she first came home. She didn’t cry that first night with the lamb. It has a battery operated heartbeat which I think made her feel as if she had her Mom or litter mates. Great price as well. I just bought this one for my friend. She bought a puppy and used it also on his first night without his other litter mates and Mom, he also slept straight through the night. If you ever had a puppy, we all know the first night is difficult for them and for the owner. I think they find comfort because it’s a good size and the heartbeat sound helps too. It comes in different animals also. I happen to like the lamb.

Das Schäfchen sieht entzückend aus, ist robust verarbeitet und völlig geruchsfrei (hat also nicht den chemischen Geruch, den Tierspielzeuge oftmals haben). Mein Hund liebt es und wird in stressigen Situationen davon beruhigt und ich gebe gerne zu, dass ich das Schaf auch hin und wieder geknuddelt habe. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist die Lautstärke des Herzschlag. Im Körbchen unseres Hundes ist es okay, auf der Couch ebenso, aber zur Schlafenszeit im Bett ist es zu laut. Für alle, deren Hund nicht mit im Bett schläft ist es ein guter Tipp um dem Hund ein Wir-kuscheln-Gefühl zu geben.
