These dental mints are a lifesaver for keeping my dogâs breath fresh between brushings. My dog, Abby Lee, loves the chicken flavor and thinks theyâre treats, so giving them to her is no problem at all.I noticed an improvement in her breath after just a few days of using them. Theyâre small and convenient to carry around, so theyâre great for travel or on-the-go use.The only reason Iâm giving four stars instead of five is that they donât replace regular dental careâbrushing is still necessary for thorough cleaning. Perfect for small dogs!
As you can see my dog is tiny with a very small mouth and due to that sheâs had some teeth removed which may make this a little more affective for her. These mints are about an inch big so very small and they do smell like a regular dog treat but the (couple) ingredients in there that are meant to help seem like they do! It takes my dog about five minutes to eat these which gives it time to take affect in her mouth and it seems to be a good alternative to dental treats for her at least because even extra small is too much for her (so pitiful) I do other dental health care with her so I wouldnât take this as the only form but even with water additives and brushing her breath is still bad sometimes so this helps! As others have stated some ingredients arenât the best but thatâs a personal decision to weigh for yourself, I would say a dog that inhales treats or is any bigger than her it probably wonât help that much.

Dog Breath Mints
Way too small⦠& seem too expensive for doggy mints.My dogs seem to like the taste, but thatâs not the problem, we give them one and they are looking for the rest of the treat – they are so small the dog doesnât even know they have it in their mouth.Shaped liked little dog bones and different colors, but why?I think to freshen their breath I would have to give them each more than ten at a time and the cute little tin would be empty⦠so I have no idea if they work to freshen dog breath as claimed.

My dogs breath did not get better and they are so tiny if your dog isnât under 5lbs then they will probably swallow the treat hole. So doesnât help with bad breath and doesnât clean teeth when swallowed whole

These smell as bad as her breath to start with
I normally love arm and hammer products but these are a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Our dog likes them but they smell as bad as her original breath. They smell like fish. Not minty. Not fresh.. HORRIBLE.

My dog gladly took one when I first opened these. Then that night she had diarrhea every 2-3 hours. I waited a day then tried to break it up and put it in her food. She ate a small amount but spat out most of it. She again had diarrhea. So itâs safe to say both episodes were linked to these treats and not to other foods.
