Makes noise
Not the best quality and also makes an obnoxious consistent noise.

Stays warm, but not as warm in a cold environment
My cats wouldn’t take to it. Works well, easy to take the slip cover off and wash it. But it doesn’t stay warm when it’s cold or very chilly out. Also, once it warms out, it makes a crackling sound from inside, almost like wires sparking or arcing… And you CANNOT take this apart whatsoever. I tried, to see what that crackling sound was. But it’s sealed completely around, good for a wet environment, but worrisome when you cannot diagnose what that sound is. I stop using it, because I do not know what that sound was and wasn’t going to leave it out and catching fire.

Cat not impressed
There is really only one relevant test of a device like this: what does the cat think? Our cat stood on it for a bit, sat on her haunches for a few minutes, and then wandered off, never to return to it. It was warm, and she likes warm, but was not interested in this pad at all.
